This is one of my regular go-to places and has been for several years. It never disappoints. The food is fresh, amazing flavours and unbeatable value. It's tiny, so be prepared to wait, or get take-away. Lunch or dinner are equally good, equally busy, equally worth it.

I used to live so close to Stanley Street and would eat there most nights. It is so cheap and so delicious! I can't go past their brown rice salmon tempura roll with hot sauce. Even after moving I still make an effort to go at least once a week. Really good to just duck in and have a quick,... More

Love this place! Been twice, busting to return. The small sushi and sashimi platter was huge - and I am a sushi glutton. Udon and sushi set was also v generous. This is a teeny little place that fills up quickly so I suggest dining early to get a table. It is BYO and there's a pub on the corner... More

This little gem was great for some fast sushi when we were jetlagged. The service was fast (although they never brought us waters when we asked) and the sushi was very fresh. It is VERY small though, so you most likely will have to wait for a table in the evenings. Would recommend if you're staying nearby!

Great little sushi restaurant! Not expensive at all, you can spend less than $50 for two people and be full! Very tiny place so not much seating available and most likely you will share a table with someone. Food is amazing and service is quick and friendly.

Sushi is excellent, fast service, got more sushi than expected for the price. Loved it! Ordered for take-away....no waiting area. Very little seating.

It you want pleasant but not extraordinary sushi without breaking the budget, this is the spot. I was afraid my chair would fall off the step, since this is a very crowded tiny spot. The food is pleasant and makes a nice lunch.

Don't judge a book by its cover, this place may not have the greatest curb appeal, but the food makes up for it. A great little sushi restaurant, fish was very fresh, tempura nicely cooked. We were very happy to have found this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed the medium mixed sushi/sashimi plate. The presentation was lovely and while it didn't look like a lot of food, my appetite was more than satisfied. Sweet fresh raw salmon sliced at just the right thickness. Would love to see the addition of tamari sauce instead of soy sauce for a cleaner gluten free sugar free meal.

Food hygiene is deplorable in this restaurant, they don't pass compliance tests. Next time you go there take a look at the kitchen standards and you'll see for yourself. Cramped seating, plastic cups and mediocre (at best) food.

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
