I’ve been coming to this café for more than ten years, on each of my visits to Sydney. I’ve loved the laid back atmosphere, the surroundings and the excellent food. Sadly, today’s visit changed my mind. I ordered brunch, looked for a table out of...More

Good coffee, friendly service and a positive atmosphere abound in this cafe and bookstore. There are three levels of books ranging from fiction to non-fiction, sport, gardening, young teens books etc. I didn’t try the good as it was late afternoon when I visited.

Really nice, had breakfast here, the food and drink was very well presented, the staff were really nice. They had Soya milk and Green Tea which we use, which is great for us as we are non -dairy.

Friendly efficient service. My coffee was excellent and came out quickly. I chose the breakfast bowl. It was colourful and oh so tasty - sticky black rice, Bircher muesli, fresh fruit, a crumble, glazed pineapple and yoghurt. Lovely outdoor seating and books! What more could...More

Nice little cafe in Paddington. Really good set up, seating inside or outside. Good coffee and tasty breakfast menu. Meals came out quickly even if service ordering was a bit slow.

To place an order at the counter the service was glacial. When my wife’s coffee arrived the glass was filthy. Yes they did replace it without issue but it should not have been that way in the first place. The chai would have to be...More

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your experience was not to your expectations. Glacial can be a relative term. Sometimes 30 seconds can seem like an eternity, depending on context and one's internal clock. It is not clear what you mean by...More

This was a while back but that older woman behind the counter is rude as hell! She’s condescending about the (high) surcharge. It took so long to even get somebody’s attention to be served in the first place, despite standing AT the counter. Tried to...More

It always helps to be specific when making a complaint. A while back? It sounds like your visit was nearly a year ago. The price of our coffee has not changed in 4+ years, despite rising costs: $3.50 small, $4.0 large. Other establishments charge more....More
