I reviewed this place late last year. At the time I was disappointed that the standard had appeared to have gone down. However, after having lunch today, the standard is right up here again. We had the Rotolo. It was delicious and a good size serving. For dessert I had the Assiette of Chocolate. Very nice combination of flavours and... More

Service disgusting---actually no service, had to catch staff attention to get what was bad service. Wine glasses cleared without ever asking if wine was wanted. Food absolutely disgusting, fish raw in centre and when asked to recook was presented exactly the same. Close on the worst meal and service I have ever not eaten as it was inedible. Not asked... Lovely lunch today, great food and good service in a fab location. Only suggestion is the venue could use a little bit of colour - maybe a pink flower on the table?

Recommended by our hotel steward, this place served fanatics food, all the staff are at college so interesting to watch then trying to get in right. The fish starters were amazing and the duck and lamb mains were super. Wine list seemed pricey however the quality and value of food easily recompensed. We were so impressed the first night we... We booked ahead to make sure we could get a table for our second visit to this restaurant. Once again not disappointed. A few minor improvements could be made to a couple of the dishes, but that's us being picky. The food all round was enjoyable, well cooked and beautifully presented. Our particular favourites were the desserts. Thanks to Jason... More

Stopped here on our first night to look at the menu. Very good prices so we made a reservation. At that time we were warned that this was a teaching school and their might be some glitches in service. Upon on arrival we were warmly greeted and seated. Service was a little confused because we split food between couples to... More

35years ago I undertook a similar course and later went on to cook all over the world in 5 star hotels and Michelin star restaurants. Front of house, relax, don't rush and don't worry about making mistakes, your customers know its a training environment. When pouring wine always twist the bottle when you have finished pouring to avoid drips. Chefs,... More

Dined at William Blue with five others on a Saturday evening from 7 pm. The restaurant was very pleasant with plenty of space for diners. There is an open kitchen, but it was not at all noisy. There was pleasant ambient music. The food was of very good quality and extremely well priced. The service was pleasant but inexperienced which... More

Such a wonderful find, right in the heart of The Rocks. The students deliver delicious, fine dining styled dishes in a contemporary styled environment. The service is attentive but not intrusive. The wine list is adequate and very reasonably priced. 3 Courses for $38 - what's not to like? Thank you - I will definitely be back

Friend booked this restaurant for a lunch on a Friday for 4 of us ladies. What a find! Lovely venue, very attentive staff and the food was delicious. Crisp white tablecloths, nice clean decor and not noisey. You could have good conversation without being drowned out with other diners or upnwanted music. For lunch we had two duck confit, one... Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
