Darlinghurst has to be the most popular suburb to either live in or visit. Try Phamish in Kings Lane, Darlinghurst for an excellent and innovative meal at a great price. All dishes are cooked to order. You can buy wine there or BYO.

Just not great. The Asian Greens were served in a watery soy soup while the shallot chicken was all breast meat and for my tastes boring. I felt like I was eating my own stirfry (which is not what I want for $20). In hindsight we should have ordered what was recommended by the hostess as those dishes looked better.

Sit in the lovely courtyard of Kings Lane and enjoy some of the best Asian food in the area. Everything is freshly cooked to order.

The summerrolls really got me. I still dream about them haha. The tofu and mushrooms were also good but just not my style. But thats my own problem. Overall very friendly staff and good food. Would recommend it.

My son loves the food here and so he took me to this restaurant for dinner last week knowing I would love it too. He was right the food is fresh, different, delicious and I couldn't fault what we had. It was mid week and we only had to wait about 5 mins for a table, no bookings, but well... More

The food was so good we overlooked the long wait and the rushed service. We couldn't find a single faux pas in the menu. Highly recommended.

Love this place. The good has been amazing every time I have been. Need to get there early as it is always busy. Most tables are outside so not sure what happens when it rains so go when the weather is fine.

We ate here on the recommendation of a colleague and the food was really good. The restaurant is small and spills into a courtyard. Given the noise in the restaurant, the courtyard is the better place to sit. Everything we had was really solid, but I especially enjoyed the papaya salad, the salt and pepper prawns, and spring rolls. Look... More

Went here on recommendations and been simply blown away by food. Portions are generous. We shared the Pamish rolls as appetizers (4 large rolls), and had two mains from the specials menu (prawns with aubergines, chili and garlic as well as an extremely tender pork/veg dish). Service is efficient. Prices really reasonable, given quality and large portions. This is not... More

The best spring rolls I've ever had and the soft shell crab was great. Food came out all with 2-15 minutes even though it was really busy.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
