Small hole-in-the-wall place in CBD on Pitt St. near Hyde Park. Went around 8pm for late dinner (they close @ 10pm). The restaurant allows you to bring your own alcohol which explains its popularity w/ large groups of office workers/friends that go to drink and for the cheap eats. Unfortunately, the restaurant is designed w/ all hard surfaces (floor, walls,... More

We wanted some really good Asian food and stumbled upon Sea Bay. The restaurant is not outstanding in decor but the number of people in the restaurant, demonstrated that the place had potential. It is a bring your own, but there is a little bottle o just around the corner. No corkage. The food was really good and we didn't... More

A very busy place but the food is not great. My colleagues and I order lamb noodles (it was bland, no taste), shrimp and egg fried rice (this is good), dumplings (so-so, I had better). Service is slow.

North Western Chinese Cuisine at its simplest and tastiest. Staff are very busy but always respectful and not pushy 😮 Food is simply but delicious and tasty. Due to its location this restaurant is frequented by many Asians, trust me that's a good sign. Don't forget to BYO

The food was delicious, highly recommend the fried and boiled dumplings and the chicken fried rice! Great atmosphere with lots of noise and speedy service at a good price. BYO too!

My office tends to come to sea bay on a regular basis. I am advised that you need to get there before the lunch rush or you won't get a seat. I got there with a group just prior to midday and we were able to get a seat. 12 steamed dumplings for about $13....can't really complain for a sit... More

Sea Bay is a regular post-rugby-watching haunt for us. Generous servings, interesting range of dishes and the right mix of mild-spicy-hot dishes. We never leave hungry, disappointed or feeling we've paid over the odds. Don't visit expecting flash service or haute cuisine - what Sea Bay has to offer is so much better and a fraction of the price.

We came here because it was so well rated. The restaurant was almost empty on a week night and that should have been a red flag enough. We ordered noodles, lamb, and dumplings. The dumplings were fresh but had no flavor at all. I had to pour the cause inside to give it any flavor at all. The noodles were... More

Affordable Asian food; quite busy so either arrive a bit early or be prepared to wait during lunch. The dumplings are large and a good size, not like any usually ones but still very good. The noodle quality is also well done.
