I have visited Sydney Tower restaurants on many occasions (both a la carte and buffet) and this time I have to be honest, I was really disappointed. This time it was the buffet and the food was very average and not very appetising. The toilets were not clean, and my wife decided to wait until we could find a clean... More

It's not a restaurant I would choose if not to entertain out-of-towners. I booked dinner buffet for 8 @ $85 per head. The seatings are really small and cramped. It was very very uncomfortable. The food was terrible and very very basic. If you want seafood, go to Sydney Fish Market instead. If it's the view you want to see... More

My partner and I went to Sydney Tower Restaurant shortly before Christmas and had the tasting menu with matching wines. The service was outstanding, our main waiter/sommelier was attentive and very informative regarding the matched wines. The food was excellent and the slowly rotating view was romantic. I thoroughly recommend !

You can't beat the view - great way to spend 90 minutes and see a spectacular 360 degree view of Sydney but dont do it for the food. The buffet was very expensive - $170 ASD for the two of us and that didn't include soft drinks! My wife wanted a simple green salad but there was only one choice... More

Booked online through Viator tours (very easy to do so) as thought that it meant that we could do a spot of sightseeing whilst eating and without queuing in a limited timescale. It was the right decision!! Could see the expanse of the city on a clear day, food was good, service attentive, you didn't need to go away feeling hungry... More

I think this is a most appropriate gift for your loved one... take them out to dinner but on the highest building in Sydney, revolving and watching the Sydney skyline as the sun set down while eating a lovely dinner. As my granny put it, 'this is the best dinner I have ever had and I dont think I will... More

If you don't eat seafood then there isn't a whole lot for you. The best part about this restaurant are the views. Truly beautiful and the kids loved it.

Went for a birthday, great evening Food better then I expected, good selection of dishes, fresh and appetising. View was fantastic on the clear evening. Booked for the 7.30pm session and wasn't disappointed. Watched the sunset and over the city with a great view. A must for a visitor to Sydney

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a lunch at the tower as we had never been before, When we arrived we were shown to a cubicle on the inner circle away from the windows. Now don't get me wrong, you can still see out and what a magnificent view but would have been nicer to sit at... More

A very disappointing experience! The view is being used to entice people with a false promise of fine dining.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
