At $13.50, go for the lunch specials. I had the Kumera risotto with walnuts, feta, spinach and roasted tomatoes - very tasty and a generous serve for lunch. Others enjoyed their pizzas and pastas. Service was friendly and prompt.

Dined on a quiet weekday evening. Had to wait at least 50 minutes for our mains (simple pasta dishes), the two wait staff repeatedly said they would arrive soon. They seemed either scared of the kitchen or scared to be truthful to us. Then when the dishes were FINALLY ready they were delivered to the WRONG table, which was the... More

Couldn't fault it- great food, fresh pasta and modifiable menu. My first experience with squid ink pasta was delicious- and they were happy for us to choose our own pasta in the sauce we desired. The seafood pasta with black fettuccini was incredible, the chorizo pasta to die for, bruschetta amazing, fish perfect, gnocchi tender - wonderful! Friendly staff and... More

We walked over from George Street but did we regret it. First, we asked for warm water after a walk in the chilly night. They gave us ice water. Then we had to signal for the menu. Then we had to signal to get the waiter to explain certain items in the menu. Then we had to signal for attention.... More

First time I went there and I was absolutely amazed by the king prawns risotto : very tasty, good portion, fresh and soft prawns as I love them. The service was very good : fast, helpful and friendly Finnish waitress. My friend ate for the first a risotto and it was the chicken one and he loved it

I just had lunch here with my partner and we very much enjoyed ourselves in between visits to the museum and art gallery. Highly recommended for a quick and reasonably-priced lunch with great service.

Love this little gem and our regular restaurant to go to whenever we felt like either seafood spaghetti, Italian sausage risotto or just wood-fired pizzas.

We are regulars here and enjoy most of the food - the pasta dishes are excellent - the soup is filling - servings are large- sea food is most enjoyable

This is off Crown Street between William and Oxford Street, and just around the corner from Bar Reggio. We've been here a couple of times and found the food to be amazing each time. The garlic bread for starter is great, and the pasta is some of the best we've ever tasted. Never ordered pizza there but the people across... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
