My wife had eggs on toast; son had eggs, bacon and toast; and I had Charlie's big breakfast. We all agree that the toast was really good. The big breakfast-sausages, two eggs and small pot of beans ok. However, the hash browns tasted oily. Overall, average for this type of establishment.

We first wandered into Charlies Cafe when we got chased out of Criniti's across the street due to a sprinkler system malfunction. This old fashioned cafe had none of the ambience of Criniti's but it is pleasant enough, the food is delicious and you can hear yourself talking - something important to those of us in our 60's who can't... Great food and value. Fish and chips were fabulous. OJ squeezed on the spot. Recommended and patronised by locals.

Good food, large portions, real value. Coffee is good. The only place in Woolloomooloo where you can see your orange juice being squeezed right there as you wait. Divine-you can't get fresher. Highly recommend Pepe burger. Chicken and bacon or beef and bacon with a twist-sweet chilli sauce, sour cream and avocado. Really fresh salad. Good service.

Its a typical local fast food place. The coffee was really good! The ham and egg as you would expect it. The staff is friendly.

Called in for fish&chips - it's popular with the locals, tourists and Naval base nearby. All your standards from bacon&egg rolls for breakfast to burgers and steak sandwiches &etc. The fish was very tasty and lightly crumbed. All good and right at a 311 bus stop to the city.

This was a random cafe that I picked as I was wandering around the wharf at Woolloomooloo looking for some bite to eat. It isn't anything really fantastic, however the staff are friendly, the food is fresh, and pretty cheap as well. The place is also pretty quiet, but that may have had something to do with the time of... More

It is the cafe of choice for the local workers in their high vis vests - where I am from this is not a mark of quality. Oh how wrong can you be. Luckily someone told me how good the coffee was. That and a good old fashioned and perfectly done toasted sandwich. Nice work.

Thank Jane C
