Over expecting on it. Food just average. I think the steak is much better than the pancakes. Pancakes are quite normal not as what other said.

We had lunch here one day and enjoyed it so much, we returned the next day! Loved the savoury crepes and the pancakes with maple syrup & ice cream were just delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Recommended.

As our daily activities included a fair amount of walking we were looking for a place where we could get a good "hearty" breakfast that included lots of protein to a) keep us energized and b) avoid needing to have lunch. Pancakes on the Rocks fit the bill perfectly - we dined at the location once and the one located... More

Had a quick breakfast at POTR before heading to the airport for the flight home Nov 30, 2016. Excellent location right across from the Holiday Inn. Food was good, pancakes were great by Canadian standards but service a little slow. Prices reasonable.

Great prices for the area. Seated quickly because we were very early due to a cancelled day trip.Gets crowded very quickly. My only complaint was that I could not get a standard cup of coffee. The waitress was new and didn't get it

This restaurant opens 24/7 and you'll be amazed there's are Q even 10pm on weekdays. Another venue for late dinners or simply for desserts. Make it a stopover when you come by for Sunday flea market. A good place for viewing Harbour bridge and Sydney opera house from a distance.

We were seated quickly, surprising as it was lunchtime on a Friday. Service was good, polite. My jaffa orange chocolate pancake was very cake-y in consistency, I guess that's the way pancakes roll in Sydney. It was very filling, not overly sweet. My kids' Coco Berry and Vanilla and Choc Surprise were looked nice too. With drinks, the bill came... More

Wonderful place to eat...delicious! We tried many restaurants in the Rocks, but this was our favorite. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. I highly recommend.

The service was ok but I found the pan cakes to thick and slightly under cooked. The coffee was good.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
