We really enjoyed our breakfast here. It's very handy for the tiny but worthwhile Brett Thingey gallery round the corner. Spoilt a bit by aggressive pigeons descending on any table as soon as it was vacated, like a scene from Hitchcock's 'The Birds'.

This bakery appeared cramped especially with the long queue waiting patiently to take away artisanal breads and pastries. We sampled the lemon tart and sausage roll and both were utmostly delicious. The famed ginger brûlée tart was sold out, so we were adamant to make another visit.

If you're in the area it's worth a try. Staff are friendly and there are tables to sit at outside. We tried the pork and fennel sausage rolls and ginger tarts. Both were tasty but seemed a little over cooked. The latte and their bottled iced chai were very good. On another visit we tried a quiche which was rather... More

This bakery is definitely worth a visit. The pastry was delicious. We had croissants, ginger tart, Rhubarb danish, raisin croissant, muffins, and hot chocolate. Everything was delicious. The staffs were very friendly. Would be my local bakery if I live in Sydney!

The bread is okay and some of their cakes but their pastries are lamentable to say the least. Dry tasteless croissants and pains aux chocolats, often burnt, okay coffee, but often overcrowded with tourists and wannabes who aren't looking for good quality food.

I'm glad we didn't go out of our way to come here. We were staying in Surry Hills and walked over for an early breakfast one weekday morning. There was a short queue that moved fast. The service was very good. We ordered a lemon curd tart, ginger creme brûlée tart, pain au chocolat, and a cheese turnover. They were... More

Walked past this bakery on the weekend and the line was up the street. Went back on a Monday and still had to wait. The coffee was smooth and strong, the creme brûlée ginger tart was magnificent. The bread variety was immense and variety of sandwich choices sounded delicious.

Having seen this bakery mentioned on a number of Sydney reviews, and seeing as we were staying in the area when on holiday, me and my boyfriend decided to visit. We were not disappointed and even returned the following day. Great coffee and definitely recommend the sausage rolls - especially the harissa lamb one- and their pastries. Would definitely go... I went there with my friend for some light breakfast. We have ordered a chicken pie and lamb sausage pastry. Both are delicious!

You know when your on to a good thing when you see a cue snaking back along the street every time you pass a bakery door. I was blown away by the tarts, so much so we returned 3 times on our 4 days in Syd.
