We visited for my birthday, they were notified of this and nothing! Food was nice but not worth the cost $$$$$ We were so uncomfortable on a Sydney humid day, left the special occasion not so special! View doesn't make up for it because you get the same view come the pier!

Dined here with 6 adults and 3 8 year olds. The service was amazing and views were amazing. We booked a table outside on the terrace and they did warn me that if the weather was bad we may have to forego our reservation. In true Sydney style the heavens opened 10mims after we were seated. Everything got soaked. The... More

Wow, what a stunning, beautiful restaurant. Great service and great food. Pricey but well worth it with the most amazing view of Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour....

A great dining experience. Every dish was perfect. We had lunch outside booked well in advance but couldn't control the weather for the day. Extremely hot with no breeze so the staff had set electric fans around and hand fans on the table to help. Not much else was possible. They even brought around cool hand towels. I'd try and... More

The view was stunning - and so was the food! The seafood platter was to die for. Nothing like fresh, good quality seafood. I would definitely order that again. The Perrier Jouet was so smooth and thank goodness I left room for dessert- the coconut panna cotta - what a dream!

As always, Cafe Sydney's service and food was excellent again. We had a very loooong lunch and there was clearly no rush (in a good way). The waiter picked up on the fact that we were in no rush and made us feel very relaxed.

As it was my birthday my wife booked this restaurant to celebrate. It's in the old custom house overlooking circular key with spectacular views of Sydney opera house and bridge. This place is first class from start to finish. Service was excellent, with knowledgable staff. Food was superb, we had to start crab, king prawns, octopus and bugs. For mains,... More

We had overseas visitors who we wanted to impress and thought that we would blow them away by a visit to Cafe Sydney. The view is unique and special and it is an iconic Australian location. Our visit was on a hot blue sky summer day with the harbour looking its sparkling best. We stopped in for coffee & dessert.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
