We only had limited time in Sydney so the fact that we ate here before our cruise and then talked about how much we couldn't wait to eat here again before departing Australia tells you what we thought of it. The location we went to is located across from the Circular Quay train station on the second floor (third floor... More

Not a regular visitor to this part of Sydney hence didn't know of the eateries in The Galeries. Received a flyer from someone on the bottom floor and found this little pace after wandering through the entire complex. Very busy late on a Saturday evening. Service was quick and the Nasi Goreng ($12) I ordered was well above what I... More

Ended up going to Jimmy's by chance, but what a find!! Food is 'street style' and extremely tasty. The value is fantastic - great prices!! Not a problem, but note that this place doesn't sell any beer, wine, etc.

This is a small place with basic but modern seating. It had the look of being recently refurbished. Friendly staff and an efficient service. We had the combo stir fry (beef/chicken and loads of seafood) and the chicken curry. Both were very good. The restaurant is not licenced so we had soft drinks. This is a great place to eat... More

Thought we would give this restaurant a try after a charming lady in reception gave us a menu. It is very basic inside and is more like a take away. I had never had a laksa before. I was told it was very mild. It was really runny and it was not to my taste. My husband liked his nasi... More

I loved Jimmys when it was a hole in the wall near Bridge Street. Chicken Curry and Roti was my all time favourite and of course Laska. Jimmys introduced me to chicken curry (already was a laska devotee which informed my honeymoon in Malaysia!) I've tried heaps of other Peranakan restaurants in Sydney and nothing comes close. BTW would love... More

This used to be a great place to eat . I used to go each week usually for the chicken noodle clear soup or laksa. Since the renovation late 2016 I've noticed both the quality and quantity of the soup has noticeably reduced though the price has increased to a point it is no longer value for money compared with... I think this is one of the better laksas in Sydney. Some say the place on Hunter Street is better but I think it's a tie. I usually have the chicken laksa. Good seating, best to arrive just before the noon rush but people do move in and out fairly quickly so possible to get a table by standing around.
