Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been a few times, always for lunch. The 'greeting' can be hit and miss. Sometimes it's warm and friendly, sometimes not. Today was a 'not' day. If I was as dismissive of the greeter as they were of me, they wouldn't be happy. Although hugely...capable of opening my mouth and expressing my view, I decided not to today. However it is consistently good in terms of the service and the food and the new winter menu is an improvement on the previous menu - which was pretty good anyway. It's always busy with a good atmosphere and the views out of the windows are stunning any time of year.More

We checking on line if any tables were available and none were but as we were passing en-route to another location decided to call in on spec anyway. We were lucky to be able to get a table after a five minute wait! From entering...the whole experience was excellent. The girl on reception was extremely professional and polite and frankly couldn’t do enough to help guests. When shown to our table we were informed of the ordering process and after selecting our meals were able to enjoy the bustling yet relatively private ambiance. With extensive views over the North Lincolnshire countryside from our cosy table we agreed that the balcony in summer would be an excellent choice. It was November so our current spot was perfect! I had a full English breakfast which was excellent in every way. Well cooked, a decent amount and presented well on the plate. My partner had the shakshuka which also was delicious - this was presented really well. Coffee was also excellent too. Overall very pleasant experience and will be on my radar for future brunch and possibly evening meals too.More

Beautiful cafe we visited on a endoscopy couldn’t take the scenery in but inside the the atmosphere was lovely and warm. Staff were very friendly and attentative. The food was lovely but expensive for what you get. The dirty fries at 6.50 which were just...macdonalds fries with a few spring onions a couple of bits of ham and some sauce was pricey. The brioche bun was so small on the beef brisket burger. The baileys bread and butter pudding was disappointing as I couldn’t taste baileys and it was so mushy you couldn’t tell it was a croissant. We was asked if we wanted custard, cream or ice cream with it but on receiving the bill we was charged £1.50 extra for cream and £1.50 for the custard to go in my partners sponge pudding which was a shock to say the least. Shame as was a lovely drive out in great clean friendly surroundingsMore

Drove past on our way to Donna Nook to see the seals and it looked inviting so decided to stop on our way home for a late lunch. We didn’t have a reservation but owner was accommodating and found us a table. All staff, including...owner were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, we both had the Philly Cheesesteaks and a pudding which were thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area, but would advise to book first if you can, as they were busy, understandably so, as it’s a lovely place.More

Pre booking is recommended as this restaurant deservedly gets busy. We had booked and were seated promptly. The inside dining area is roomy and there is plenty of space between tables. It can be noisy inside due to the building structure. Unfortunately, it was dark...so we were not able to enjoy what are clearly lovely views from the terrace. Our food was brought promptly and the excellent portions perfectly cooked. Prices are very reasonable and comprised quality ingredients. Polite and efficient service made this a very enjoyable experience.More

Met up with friends. Luckily I called the day before. Could only accommodate us at 2pm -could see why when we arrived was bursting at the seams. Fab service, very friendly and a smiley. Tasty food and great value. Had the salmon and prawn salad...and it was delicious. Cannot wait to return. The views are stunning too. Will be back. Many times. Well done all.More

Went to the cafe couple of days ago for lunch along with my daughter, ordered cheesy baked beans jacket potato and fiery loaded fries. My daughter tucked into her jacket potato and chewed onto which something tasty absolutely yuck and it seemed like big lump...of mud a size of cherry tomato!! We promptly reported it to the staff and the manager was brought in. Yes, we were offered an apology and refund as we should have. But there was no extra mile of customer service there. Just did what they should have been doing nothing more than protocol and robotic..absolutely basic and matter of fact. While I understand occasionally things can go wrong, good customer service is what keeps the reputation. Our experience at the cafe did not make us feel like they value the customersMore

Went last night with my husband and son. We love the cafe. Had a wonderful meal. The venue is so warm and welcoming. Even though it was dark outside could still see lights on the horizon and plenty of fireworks. Our waitress was lovely. Have...been previously twice for lunch and always found the food amazing. We will defiantly be coming back.More

We try to support local business whenever possible. But do yourself a favour and give this a wide berth. The food is overpriced and bland. We have tried this place three times hoping it would improve but alas always the same. Great place to sit...but you are going to eat. The quality of food is all. What a shame.More

Myself and my family of 14 visited the Landmark last weekend to celebrate my 21st Birthday. We booked the table around August time, and my Mum was able to work closely with the Landmark’s Owners/Management Team to deliver my cake and arrange the menu for...the evening. The staff were absolutely incredible, special mention to Georgia and Jenna who along with the owners were a part of organising the evening. All members of staff were fantastic, very welcoming and chatty. The owner also came over and made sure everything was okay, and we had a great chat with him after the meal - it’s great that the venue has such a down to earth team. Onto the food! Every single plate was cleared. Most of us had three courses, and we were all so impressed by the standard of food (and the portion sizes!) that were presented to us. I shared the Antipasti for starter which was really nicely done, lots of cured meats and mozzarella! Then had the Surf and Turf which was cooked really well, and then the Churros for dessert - the only thing I wished was that there was a better ratio churro:dipping sauce as there was so much sauce wasted…however saying that I would’ve struggled to eat much more! I can’t fault the evening, it was incredibly special that my family found a venue so close to home, in a really beautiful setting looking out onto the fields and coast. They played happy birthday through the speakers too - lots of special little touches that made the night perfect. Thank you so much again to the Landmark Team for making the evening so special - I can’t wait to come back! 😁More

I would not come for Dinner,we came for lunch, did not have a reservation but got a table as we arrived. We were told to go to the Bar to order our food, which we left with some 6 staff on the floor seemed strange....It would have been a nicer experience if a staff member took our order at our table. As we left no one said 'Thank You', hope to see you again or such like. The food was very good and the ambience was really nice, also the views over the countryside was wonderful. So sitting and dining on the Terrace on a hot summer's day would be lovely.More

We had been to Boston to the Bubble Car Museum only to find the cafe closed. The one down the road was cosed, as was every other cafe on the road back to the bridge. We were beginning to think that every cafe closed on...a Saturday afternoon until we stumbled on Landmark. The place was quite full when we entered and we were asked if we just wanted coffee and cake or a full meal. When we said the former we were told that would be no problem and we were shown to a table. We were asked to select the cake of our choice which was a problem as they all looked so delicious. I could have eaten them all. The cakes were as delicious as they looked and the Latte's were perfect. The waitresses were excellent and we never felt under any pressure to leave quickly. We will be back but next time, we will book ahead for a full meal. Full marks to all the staff.More
