Went for a special occasion. We had not booked but team were happy to assist and could not have been more helpful. They could see we were in no hurry. Allowed us time to have drinks. When food was ordered it came promptly. We had 6 different menu items and everyone enjoyed food. The serving size was not large but... More

This place was rocking and rolling, but not necessarily grooving, even by 9am on a public holiday. Loud noise, poor service (slow) and nothing really special about the groove train, apart from the fact that it is on the beautiful river.

The menu was absolutely huge covering several styles ( Thai curries to wood fired Pizza's) I had a rib eye steak which was fantastic, if a little overcooked. The accompanying potatoes were hard and under cooked and the mushroom was runny and sweet (probably supposed to be, but I prefer creamy and savoury). My wife and eldest son had a... More

We were here for a Sunday night dinner. It was almost empty, but picked up as the evening progressed. Wait staff were friendly, but too stretched to provide proper service. The food was poor. The satay, was about the worst satay I've ever had. It was watery, lacking any real flavour. The kids pasta, came out piping hot, in a... More

There's a special place set aside for families with children and video games which is a great idea. But I'm afraid to say that I found the food was just average, but its handy, on the boardwalk and right by the ferry Cats. We normally end up there when the grandchildren arrive.

The Groove Train is an awesome place to dine casually in a central location. Excellent for couples and groups of friends, and is always easy to get a table. Great atmosphere, and well priced wholesome meals. I'm a tourist who annually comes to Brisbane, and it is always a stop on my list!

If you're expecting your pizza to be like the one on Groove Train's home page then you'll be disappointed. It's a heavy, thin base and not a light, airy base as shown in their advertising. We ordered the 'Rustic Eggplant Chips' and found them to be tasty and very hot. They are a large serve with about 10 or 12... More
