We live very close to this majestic old treasure but have never dined there. On the occasion of our wedding anniversary we thankfully decided to give it a try. The staff were attentive ,friendly and very professional. The food was 10 out of 10. We shared the shellfish platter as an entree . The prawns were the best I'd ever... More

My partner and I went to Customs House for dinner. We sat outside which wasn't the best idea considering it was a very humid day, although it was nice to look out at the river and Story Bridge. We went a bit crazy and ordered way too much food. We ordered the shellfish platter for starters, which was delicious and... More

Have usually had a high tea with friends sitting outside overlooking the Brisbane River or inside for anniversaries it is a place to visit and enjoy the ambience of a bygone age.

We tried the Signature lunch at this well located restaurant on the banks of the river in central Brisbane. The fixed price menu has limited choice but the food was excellent and accompanied by a glass of wine included in the price. The staff were attentive and polite. Whilst not the cheapest in town the restaurant provides good value for... More

It was my Mum's 60th Birthday in December and a family booking was made for dinner. The table that we reserved had a superb outlook towards the Brisbane River and the Storey Bridge was beautifully lit up. The waitress serving us was very friendly. Such a great place to go for a special celebration. Don't think I would go there... More

Went to Customs House $150/head New Years Eve "garden party". Initially told that the dress code was relatively formal with jackets required for the men, we sweated on the walk to the event only to see a good proportion of people getting away with polos, shorts and in one case, even thongs! Canapes were excellent. Of special note were the... More

Lovely private dining, solid menu, beautiful food and a nice wine menu. The service was good, nice atmosphere but did not take advantage of the surrounds as I expected.

The alfresco area of Brisbane's fine 1889 Customs House, between the building and the river, is a very pleasant spot for a meal - and it was fine for use in May. Particularly enjoyed the Coffin Bay oysters and the Cone Bay barramundi.

Food was exactly what you would expect for a fine dining restarant. Service was not bad however the wait staff were inexperienced. We were a large group and it took us a ridiculous amount of time to receive our coffees. Great location

Booked a champagne high tea as part of my birthday celebrations and was extremely disappointed. The amount of food provided was certainly not worth the $140 (for two people). The view was exceptional and I suspect that is what you are paying for. There were far too many sweet varieties and only a small (and I mean tiny) portion of... More
