Visited to celebrate lunar (Chinese) new year. While would be busiest night of year for Chinese dining, there was so many things went wrong. We booked for a 7PM sitting, but people in the first sitting were late, and did not finish on time. Some of that was due to total disorganization in front of house delivery of food, some... More

One of the best Yum Cha in Adelaide. Really busy on the weekend. Recommend to make a booking. Amazing Chicken feet and Dumblings. Quick service. But it could be bit noisy and little bit too tight for the tables as they are always busy. But love their foods! So always go back :)

The Ding Hao is a longstanding restaurant which offers consistent quality, service and value. It's very popular, so a reservation would be prudent. The daily lunchtime Yum Cha is both popular, tasty and moderately priced- well worth trying. Their AUD$38 New Year banquet offers astonishing value! Well worth a visit!

Very busy Chinese New Year, booked ahead, line up on arrival so it looked promising. The extra seating was a dodgy cheap fold out chairs that are dangerous on carpet, The banquet was nice tasting but was served at inconsistent intervals with the rice served after 2 mains were finished. One of the male waiters was quite rude and unhelpful.... More

The Ding Hao was recommended by our hotel and it did not disappoint. Lovely duck and pancakes - our favourite. Good if a little speedy on the service side, but just what we wanted and frequented by many Chinese, always a good sign.

My family was here for yumcha lunch yesterday, a Thursday arvo. The food was either bland or way too salty. The service was very poor making this experience a very disappointing one. The all Chinese staff were cold and unsmiling. One girl even glared at us every time we asked her a question. We noticed she was friendlier and more... More

We visited Ding Hao one Friday night, after a concert at the Town Hall. There were quite a number of tables occcupied and it looked very busy. We were promptly greeted and taken to a table, offered menus and left alone for a bit too long. When we caught one of the waiters attention, our order was taken and we... More

Christmas evening - and somewhere to eat, and one in our party of five was Chinese Checked out the reviews, strolled the street and chose Ding Hao, didn't expect too much from what people had written, but they had clean white tablecloths, which was an attractive option to the laminex offerings at neighbouring restaurants. Service was a bit patchy -... More

I've been going here for years with a particular friend who is a yum cha aficionado. The decor is hardly Shayna but the food is sensational. If you know and love real yumcha this is for you. The chicken's feet and stewed tripe are the best in Adelaide and the dumplings varied and delicious. Favourite dishes include Shanghai dumplings, fresh... More
