I feel a bit bad about this review as the service we had was great, but the butter chicken was insanely sweet, the dal was very salty, the only way to make either edible was by stirring them together. This place seems to get good reviews so maybe we caught them on a bad day.

This is my regular Indian takeaway spot. Super good value for money, friendly service, free rice and pappadums, and the curry and naans are always hot, flavoursome, and delicious! I recommend the pumpkin masala or chicken tikka masala

I hope Annapurna will soon find its mojo back again. I've eaten here several times in the past and it has always been a superb experience. Perhaps they are victims of their own success. Granted it was Christmas vacation period and 6.30pm peak dinner hour, but they appeared rushed off their feet tonight. Our order came out in dribs and... More

Pathetically looong wait, for the food. The restaurant was pretty crowded, but that does not mean the wait even to place an order would be so long. There was only one person running up and down the stairs to take order and serve food. The starters which we had specifically ordered to be served along with the drinks never turned... More

Very nice indian food, good service, and nommy leftovers for later. Dhosa only available some days, try it, it was delicious.

Great value, and quality, very convenient delivery service, plus it's only curry house in Hobart that hasn't made me crook.

The Thali at Annapurna is a good way to sample a few different curries, naan and rice. The Dosa is great for someone with a big appetite, you won't leave with an empty belly. The mixed platter for 2 as an entrée was cooked to perfection. The Saag Paneer in the Thali was even better than I can cook at... More

Cravings for curry and naan were deep. Venous, even. The sheer urge for it was enough to over order and leave one in a food coma like slumber. We had the chicken tikka, malai kofta and lamb buriyani with a plain and kashmiri naan. All main meals come with a complimentary rice and papadums. The naan were soft and easily... More
