Called at the New Town store to buy , some takeaway items, to share with friends whilst visiting Hobart. The chocolate brownies were a total fail. Too dry and crumbly.

I am always delighted to visit Jackman & Mcross because you're always greeted with an incredible array of delectable delights both sweet and savoury with amazing and friendly service to match. I went today and asked for a slice of the goat cheese and sun dried tomato tart and not only did the gentleman serving me give me two slices... More

We were recommended here by family and it is with the stop. The pastries were fresh and tasty, the veggie pastie delicious, the chicken and honey mushroom pie delicious, the frittata delicious and the beef rolls delicious! They are enough on their own or you can get a small side vegie/salad. The coffee was hot, flavoursome and quick. Table service... More

Great service and a wide selection of bread and pastries. The homemade pies are delicious! The atmosphere is spacious yet ambient. Highly recommend for brunch and lunch.

Average food and coffee. There are plenty of better cafes around. They charge a premiun to dine in compared to takeaway. Went to their Battery point cafe which is the historical part of town, Go to Daci & Daci French bakery for a PREMINUM experience,

Jackman and Ross always serve really nice sweet and savory pastries and coffee. Great for a coffee catch up, breakfast or a lunch meeting. Beautiful pastries and quiches served with salad or french pastries for desert. Coffee always good. Service always prompt.

Came across this beautiful bakery whilst out for a morning walk through Battery Point. Our biggest issue was deciding what to order as everything looked amazing. We finally decided on the lemon curd tart which had to be one of the best I've ever tasted, and mint choc mousse tart which was delicious. Only reason I gave a 4 star... More

My husband and I stopped in for afternoon tea while sightseeing in battery point and Salamanca . Wow this place is beautiful, a nice quaint cafe with an amazing display of sweets and baked breads. We enjoyed a coffee and the berry and cream cheese tart. Definitely a winner 👍👍
