After eating at the Drunken Admiral my son wanted to eat there every night... It does get busy and it is popular... We did walk in off the street, but it's probably a good idea to book ahead to avoid disappointment. There are so many different rooms and nooks and crannies. After we had ordered (so many great options) we... More

Spur of the moment dining option, very fortunate to get a table, service was friendly and prompt. The meals we had were swordfish and steak. Both were cooked to perfection. If we return to Hobart we would go back for sure.

Very charming and well decorated restaurant in a pirate theme - my four year old loved it! The food was really good but quite expensive (my cocktail alone was $22 !!). Our service could have been better but it was extremely busy. Definitely worth a visit just to experience the landmark restaurant but don't think I will be back.

Had a dinner here with my partner. It was a Saturday night but took a punt on a space being available and just turned up. Luckily a couple had just cancelled so we got a spot. The hotel is like a quasi museum with lots of nautical artefacts and curiosities scattered around. We both has seafood dishes which were quick... More

$130, 3 glasses of fantastic Tasmanian pinot noir, deep fried olives, satay prawns, tagine salmon, Pana cotta. Each dish was outstanding. The serves were generous. The servers were fantastic. They were really friendly and accommodating. Don't be fooled by the over the top nautical theme, the food is outstandingly high quality.

Went with a group of friends and had some lovely wine and great meals. Great below deck experience. Good variety on menu and a lively venue. Found the staff to be very accommodating! Casual dining at its best

Much hype for what is really a gimmecky fish and chip shop. Limited choice, slow service and expensive. If you want deep fried prawns and fish, cheaper at Maccas.

on arrival I knew the place must be popular as there was a large queue outside even before the restaurant opened. Even though we did not have a booking we were quickly taken to a table, service was friendly and efficient with very amiable staff. We only had the mains first being the seafood chowder which was fantastic and very... More

This is a complete experience. Atmosphere is maritime themed, and the place is like a museum, live ship experience. Tables range from galley style to ship's bow dining with a great deal of maritime history to look at. It is some what theme park like, with the food overpriced for the end product. The menu is extensive, with a variety... More

We visit every time we visit Hobart. Delicious fresh food and a really cool, atmospheric fit-out. Definitely a lot of character and soul to this place.
