I first dined at this establishment when I moved to Hobart in 2003. It was so average that I hadn't been back since last night when invited there for a business dinner. The oysters kilpatrick I had were great. However the scallops and chips main was very subpar. Firstly not sure why you would not serve this main with a... More

There is nothing on the menu for kids. Overpriced. Claustrophobic and very tied decor. Dark and dingy. So we left.

My wife wanted to bring me here as she had had a really good meal on a previous visit.we booked a table for 20.30 but arrived a little early as we did not know how long it would take us to park as there was a wooden boat festival on in the harbour,as it turned out that was not a... More

Very popular so good idea to book. A building full of interesting nautical artefacts and decoration. Lots of nooks and crannies for eating areas, some more crowded than others. The ambience is half of the experience although the food is good too. I have been previously and still enjoy going every time I am in Hobart. It is one of... More

This was one of my favourite Hobart restaurants when I visited that wonderful city every 2 to 3 years. My visit with partner and friends last week did not meet our collective expected level of culinary experience. The service was good until the waiter attempted to give three of us the wrong meal. Why do some waiters find it difficult... More

Excellent food, could not fault food, service could have been a little better as had to keep asking for drinks. A little cramped at tables for groups.

great variety of food on the menu and the nautical theme ties in well with the hobart waterfront, great service only downfall it is very cramped, but it is well worth it for the atmosphere and the food

The restaurant had a busy, cosy atmosphere for families, groups as well as couples. The service was friendly, and the food was yummy. I would go there again, but eat very early in the evening, say about 5.30pm or even lunch times.

We had a very good meal here. One special which was Blue eye fish marinated in spices and then battered, served with chips and Blue eye grilled with chips and salad. Both very good quality fish with good dips, homemade tatare and a sticky spicy ginger sauce. Big ice cream sundae to finish. Good Chardonnay to accompany the meal but... More

This restaurant serves good food! The mussel pots are good. The seafood skewers are even better. It can be noisy - but that's just because it is always packed. I can come here everyday!
