The eggs Bennie was paired back to the basics and done well. Coffee was above average and service good.

The staff were indifferent, the table sticky. The water glass were plastic, greasy and had food stuck on them. $44 for two breakfast and two coffee. The scrambled eggs on beetroot was large and tasty. The fat boy, chicken lettuce, wrapped in rotti bread was too tough to cut. There was almost no chicken. I wouldn't come back. Oh the... More

Used to be a launderette. Guess it's still functioning now but just a little part of it. The main area has been transformed to a trendy cafe with a fantastic array of food. Perfect for brekkie, brunch or lunch. Coffee was amazing. Had the Beef Brisket Saga and felt so contented after :)

Funky place to go. Fancied sunday brekkie with a difference. Very busy but wait not too long. Free water brought to table automatically which was great. Only complaint is that food was cold when served but generous portion of salmon made up for it.

This place does unbelievable brunch! Eggs benedict and the fat boy roti are personal favourites of mine! The spicy peanut sauce that comes with the roti is just Incredible!

Washing machines did their thing - staff services was average. I would like to have eaten something or had a drink but when I asked (1 hour before closing time) if they are still serving the food the answer was "no".

I looked around. There were machines, a laundry and a Café but there was only one thing on the menu that I was after. A Tom's Thing - that particular culinary contribution to the quintessential corner of Salamanca Square which is Machine Laundry Café. I looked at the menu. There were eggs - almost 50 shades of them. Mental Lentil... More

Had 2 breakfasts here and we all loved them both. Creative tasty food, full of fresh ingredients. The Thom Thing was outstanding. Huge portions so easy to share.

Myself and 3 friends came here for lunch whilst visiting Hobart. One of our group had heard of this quirky cafe. The cafe had a great ambience, with washing machines, retro tables and a nice outdoor seating area. All our meals were delicious I had the special (roasted cauliflower and brown rice, yum) and the others had breakfast style meals.... More
