I went for dinner & had a $32 steak. I asked for medium/well done & it was still very pink inside. Came with no sauce on the steak either. The green salad was limp & came with what seemed like shredded cheese from a packet....More

Came here for dinner on Saturday night. It was one of the very few that didn't have a queue outside. We thought we would be able to get a table easily seeing as there was no line. We still had to wait for a table...More

Polenta chips, deep fried olives, Italian sausage, rissoles, arancini, fried potato balls, toast (I think that was it) for two at $31 was filling enough pre-movie. That and a couple of red wines was nice quick filling fare.

Wandering down Lygon Steet and happened upon Trevi. We sat inside as it was cold and were greeted by a friendly staff member who was working on her first night and was charming and fun. The meals were enjoyable, a good size and the deserts...More

Outside seating area is nice but can be noisy, but with Trevi's own music blaring out and competing with the bar's music next door. Also, the overhead heating is set to blast furnace mode, more suited to mid-winter than the balmy Autumn weather we'd been...More

We went here for breakfast and all of us are cruisey people who never complain but everyone has their limits. We sat outside which was nice but the chairs were blindingly reflective aluminium. I'm sorry to say the food was atrocious. Under ripe, hard, rubbery...More

Restaurant ambience doesn't do the place justice. The menu shows this is the real Italy. Dishes weren't good, they were simply outstanding. Service excellent too but the food speaks for itself. Down the road from the "best" restaurant in Melbourne; maybe it's good but this...More

OK so I can't really fault the food here, it's just that my order was forgotten and I had to wait until literally everyone else in my group had FINISHED their meals before mine was delivered to me. People make mistakes, sure, but this mistake...More

Lygon Street
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated
over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the
place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to
the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who
started their day with a local espresso. They are
gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this
Little Italy which has something for everyone.
Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way
