I went with my husband for our honeymoon dinner and it was a night to remember. The dining experience was one of a kind with elements spread out on the table. The food felt like pieces of heaven in our mouths. It was way too expensive but worth the excellent customer service and array of visually and gastronomically pleasing dinner.... More

I went here with two friends for a birthday. If I'm honest, I had expected it to be pretentious with small portions of over done food. I was happily wrong. We had a tasting menu which consisted of around 7 or 8 courses. I advised the waiter I was to have no seafood or lamb, the look of horror on... More

Wow! A once in a lifetime experience for me as I would never spend this much on a lunch. This was somewhere I've wanted to go for years and saved up for. It was so worth it. Staff are amazing. Such an exciting experience. Each course a surprise. What a fabulous experience!

Been here three times now, twice for lunch and once for dinner and it will be the last time. Sadly, the staff have let the reputation of this place go to their heads. Quite rude in fact. At the prices they charge, they really need to be treating the customers with adoration, not disdain.

Impressive view with gastronomic food. Came here to celebrate a new appointment and the experience was fantastic. Service was top notch as expected. Food was good to wonderful. There were some unforgettable dishes and I hope I get the chance to taste these again.

The only thing I like about this restaurant is the superlative views of Melbourne. It stops there. If you want to overwhelm others with food cooked using incredibly complex, elegant techniques and no soul, this is for you. If you want to want to measure your own success against the cost and look of this place, then go for it.... More

We had the Chef's Tasting Menu comprising more than 10 morsels which all added up. To be fair, the food was, on any assessment, very nice, but that's where it ended for me and my guest. If you go after being prepared to spend many hundreds of dollars for the afternoon, wherever you sit, do whatever it takes to to... More

Highlights The view was outstanding, especially the sunset. The mini palate cleansers and nibbles were a nice touch Marron tail and sausage, and Lamb were excellent with outstanding flavors. Chocolate Soufflé was in perfect form, for my taste, not enough chocolate flavor and a bit on the sweet side Cheese platter full of variety. Exceptional wine selection Staff asked about... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
