We enjoyed the charcuterie board and the potatoes. Both well presented and delicious. A gem of a restaurant with knowledge and attentive staff.

This place has delicious food and they really know what they are doing. Good atmosphere and the share plate style dining really works here. Had a great watermelon salad and some excellent pork. Memorable.

I just finished having the most wonderful meal in a cool setting at Bivouac. We ordered the "chef feed me" for a table of 4. Having never ate proper Mediterranean food before, I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about what was going to be put in front of me. Then the starters arrived. I'm afraid that... More

Bivouac used to be one of our favourite go to places, and although the food and service was still good I feel as though the standard has dropped a little. Or am I just less impressed these days? Either way, I felt the value for what you pay was really not worth it. Dinner cost us just under $200 for... More

I was part of a group who ate dinner here recently. Really interesting food options. Sharing plates that appealed to everyone.

My friend and I had dinner at Bivouac earlier this week. My friend's an excellent cook herself and we agreed the food here was great. The flavours were "different" but very tasty, it all pulled together really well. The portions were modest but we left feeling satisfied. The only thing I might suggest is a broader selection of desserts -... More

shared a delicious meal with a friend here, it was very busy and the staff were literally running through the restaraunt (it seemed understaffed) one of the staff tripped which resulted in my friend and I wearing chilli lamb gravy fat for the rest of the evening, I spent 5 minutes washing the chilli out of my eye. It was... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant so we were eager to try it. We ordered tThe gnocchi and the only salad respectively. This restaurant might suit folks who like tiny portions. Ours could have been served on dessert plates although with good coffee the bill was over$ 50. While the salad mentioned seeds on the menu, I only saw four. I mentioned... More

Bivouac has been around long enough now to have become a bit of an institution. The tables are bare and a bit chipped and the place hasn't changed much since it opened. And the food is still great. The charcuterie plate (entrée) has some nice bits and pieces to pick through. The dishes are meant to be shared and this... More
