Went here in search of some proper Italian food, we have lived in Italy for 4 years so we know what it tastes like! I can assure you this restaurant tastes like a real Italian! Definately worthwhile going there. It's not cheap, but it's good!

The food was pretty good, not the best Italian we ever had. The staff was pretty friendly and attentive. My husband ordered lasagna and unexpected given a peppermill with "salt" in it. Despite us letting the staff and management know, they did nothing to correct the problem and insisted that it was our fault for using the peppermill. We will... More

I really enjoyed the pasta here but it wasn't anything outstanding, so didn't really justify the price. Skip the desserts, they're more French than Italian and are far too sweet. All up, it's probably the best Italian in Napier, but that doesn't make it great Italian and doesn't justify their pricing. I've had much better.

We thoroughly enjoyed the meal & the service both by the owner & serving staff. The gnocchi was one of the nicest I have ever had.

Pour quality and not worth the price. I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants in my life. This restaurant is just a waste of time and money.

Traditional Tuscan cuisine at its best. Trattoria alla Toscano, in Emerson Street, has been delighting diners for more than 20 years. A mouth-watering menu, offering excellent food and wine. It comes at a price and by the time you have eaten your way through the various tempting courses you may need to check your bank balance. But the experience will... More

Walk into the warm comfortable restaurant and get treated like royalty by the chef and owner Enzo from Lucca in Tuscany. It's romantic from the opening prosecco to the tiramisu. The go to place in Napier. We loved the red snapper shown in the photo.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant by our hosts in Napier and weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and the welcome was second to none. The owner was always making sure we had everything we wanted and kept us amused all evening.

If you are looking for a great Italian dining experience, this is the place to go. The owner, Enzo, is very engaging and the food is simply exquisite. A nice wine range wraps up a great dining experience.

Wandering around after dinner, walked in and asked is we could have dessert and coffee. Owner Italian and bloody funny. Pretended to be offended, then overwhelmed us with fabulous desserts and cheese. I teased him about lack of Italian liqueurs so he produced his own home-made Limincello, which was very good indeed. It was all so much fun we changed... More

This is the place in New Zealand where you'll succumb to romance and discover the tantalising flavours of Tuscany...Loving hand crafted pasta and salsa's.
Followed by classic Bistecta Fiorentina or maybe a fresh fish....Having operated for 19 years providing locals & tourists great service & quality food. We use local providers for meat , fish and vegetables and all pasta etc made on site.
