Quick efficient service and large portions. Good place for families and group socializing with wooden tables and booths. Fairly wide menu options and selection of beverages. Enjoyed a great burger with melted Brie and sliced beets along with a refreshing grapefruit mojito.

We dined here over Easter with a group of family and friends. What a horrid experience! Our meals were either wrong, cold, missing ingredients or even missing fullstop. Their so called great steak was the worst I have ever had. It was stone cold and according to the manager this was because I ordered it medium! My partner ordered a... More

Horrible food. Horrible place, carpet disgustingly dirty. Would never eat there again. Don't know why anyone would want to eat there.

We had been to Hogs Breath in Australia and really enjoyed our meals there, so when we spotted it on our weekend away to Napier we had to eat there. Not quite as good as the one we went to in Aussie but still an enjoyable meal and great location.

My partner and I went to Hogs Breath to try the steak. We weren't keen on the booths inside, they were narrow and bright and there were so many people there, that we asked to sit outside on the deck as it was quieter with a more romantic feel. At first we were told they were way to busy to... More

Great location and acceptable service from the wait staff. However the food is not fresh, the steaks were poor quality, the chicken was dry, salads were acceptable but OMG the fish was like dry rubber. Very disappointed about the quality of the food, especially for the price. When I told the waitress that the fish was dry and over cooked... More

Done other good HB in Aussie but not this! Had calamari rings starter- ok. My beef steak ok but small, looked bashed up and fatty. 3 prawns on top and supposedly garlic but congealed white sauce that tasted of nothing. Side salad of Caesar was no bigger than a dessert spoon and disgusting sauce. Jacket big but not a lot... More

Whilst there are many Hog's Breath Cafe's around, this one wasn't the best ive eaten at. My steak even though was meant to be the larger size was the same size and cut as my dining companion yet was charged the dearer price. I had Mash and salad but the mash was cold on arrival and the salad was dry.... More
