This place was recommended by the motel manager as somewhere she likes to go for South Indian food. I ignored the negative reviews on here and trusted the local advice. I should also have ignored the suggestion that this is a BYO place as they are licensed and I was able to get a beer. The slight disappointment was that... More

Hubby and I went here for a 'quick' meal before a movie. Luckily we allowed plenty of time as our overall dinner took 1 1/2hrs!! There was only one waiter in who was also handling the takeaways desk. He was lovely and really did try his hardest, however both our starters and mains arived and weren't what we ordered. The... More

Friendly staff with a homely vibe. Delicious curries, and the butter naan is fabulous! A huge bonus is the BYO - we took some cider and had a great evening. Very good prices! I highly recommend the onion bhaji :).

I live In Rotorua, this is the only restaurant me and My wife eat at. We take a bottle of wine with us and enjoy talking without the kids. Meals often take an hour or more to come but we have never been disappointed with the quality of the food which is also very reasonably priced. You must try the... More

Nice friendly service, lovely curries, and handy to the town centre. It is the only Indian restaurant we will use in Rotorua, the others are just awful.

The initial experience was not that great due to the service side being very average. The food tasted great & was served promptly however 2 orders were incorrect meat dishes that weren't replaced due us having young children & we were on a time limit. Please go to this restaurant for a good value meal that has a great taste.

A group of us often come here on a Friday after a drink at the pub. It is always consistently good, very tasty and plenty of it - usually have to take some home. Prices are great and they have a buy 10 get one free loyalty card or a special deal for takeaway butter chicken. I recommend this restaurant... More

I have been here about 10 times now and it never seems to let us down. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and it tastes so damn good! Chimney keep up the good work!
