Stopped here for lunch. Was a HUGE serving and was delivered amazingly quick. Meal itself was average. Wasn't amazing but certainly wasn't bad either. I had the beef and bacon burger which came with curly fries. Beef was cooked well and chips were nice and crunchy! I would come back because I want to try the pork belly. Service was... More

Good service, good beer, and great food - what more should a Pub provide its patrons. We readily recommend the Pig and Whistle to people, as we know they will come back having enjoyed being there.

We decided to eat at the Pig and a Whistle after doing a bit of Google research. The venue was quite busy for a Saturday night but our food was brought out promptly. We had the burger that had bacon and mushrooms on it. Highly recommend it! Meal sizes in NZ are bigger than you get in Australia so be... More

Not too bad! The meat pie was delicious, and my toddler inhaled broccoli if it had the sauce from the pie on it! If a toddler eats broccoli, it's always a good day.

No matter when we have been there it has always had a great atmosphere and great meals to cater for everyone. This place hums. Recommended to all for a great time out and close to the centre of town.

Nice place to eat and drink the night away. Had the blackened salmon and a beer for dinner. Salmon was ever so under cooked could have used a few more minutes on the grill. Seasoned perfectly and the dill sauce was a great compliment to the fish. Stop here for the food, drinks & atmosphere.

I come here a few times when I feel like eating pub food and this place is so far the best. Always enjoy my meals. Out of all the restaurants I always choose to come here. First on my mind. Never have problems with the staff or food. Worth the wait I enjoyed everything, the atmosphere is amazing. Thank you.

We stopped in for a drink and a rest. Great atmosphere and good beer. Food looked very appetizing, but we already had dinner plans. Worth the stop.
