Visited on a Saturday morning with a friend, was busy but not chocker and was able to get a table easy enough, really friendly staff. Atmosphere was lovely, food looked great. We ended up just getting s coffee and a scone but coffee was strong and hot and the scone full of flavour. Highly recommend

When travelling I rarely have breakfast at the same place in the same city two days in a row. This little hideaway is fantastic at Miramar in the same street at weta cave if you are doing the tours. Had the scrambled eggs with Manuka smoked salmon two days in a row !!

Have visited the Larder previously for coffee which is great! Tried the dinner menu this visit and the food was absolutely amazing. The staff were super friendly & attentive. The salted peanut butter dessert was outstanding. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. 👌

Though I've lived in Wellington for most of my life, I had never ventured out to The Larder. It just so happened that we had family visiting and so we decided to go to Weta (another first) and lunch at The Larder since we were in the neighbourhood. We anticipated that there would be a wait, especially since we had... More

This small bistro style coffee shop/ restaurant is just up the road from The Weta Cave. But that's not its patrons, this busy spot is full of locals stopping in for breakfast or brunch. The fresh bakery items are great. Full breakfasts could choke a horse and looked fantastic. If I hadn't eaten just 2 hours earlier, I would have... More

What is so delightful about this restaurant is that it feels like a delicious find in a rather unassuming neighbourhood. Fortunately I had friends to bring me here otherwise I just might not have had this culinary experience. The whole experience was unstated elegance and sophistication. Just the right kind that makes you feel at home and special from the... More

We had a perfect set course dinner which started off with a perfectly scrumptious house baked bread and then an amazing pea and truffle amuse bouche to tantalize the taste buds. The goats cheese soufflé was delicious (and lived up to its reputation which i had heard from several sources). The duck leg with cooked beautifully with a crisp skin... More

From making room to accomodate us to the food and service, The Larder truly deserves every high ranking review it receives. Sarah the maitre-d understands how to deliver a dining experience you'll remember. A vegan and vegetarian eater I was given multiple options to choose from. The most difficult decision I faced all night was trying to choose which mouth... More
