We found this place one evening when we wanted dessert. It was so inviting with it's open windows and cozy atmosphere, we went in. The dessert was great. While eating, we read the lunch/dinner menu and saw a couple of meals served. We decided we needed to try it. All we had was a lunchtime - but ordered dinner. Venison... More

I wanted some good mussels on our last night in Wellington and I was not disappointed! I refused to share my pot with anyone and left with a big grin on my face :)

On the way home after a Sunday afternoon enjoying the sunshine and a few beverages on the waterfront, we stopped at Leuven for more beverages. So when we seen mussels on the menu we couldn't resist and ordered two pots, one with tomato and chilli the other with white wine and garlic. They were fabulous and the service was brilliant... Came here because a friend recommended it. Was fun to try some different foods. I had the lamb pie which was too much food for me to eat. The croquettes were nice and good service and ambience

I visited here for a light lunch and beer recently whilst in Wellington as I am a fan of Belgian Beer having toured Europe tasting it. The location and building is good and there is plenty of comfortable seats in the building. The staff are engaging and friendly and you can try all the options, the "waitress" for me was... More

I have been to Leuven quite a lot of times in the past when I still lived in Wellington. As we were back for a couple of days we decided to go here for lunch. One of our all time favorites is the Fries they serve, in the old fashioned triagle bag, like we are just from Holland/Belgium. The fries... More

This is one of the very few places in the CBD that are open in the evening (generally the pavements / sidewalks are rolled up at 530 and the central area is occupied by hotel patrons wandering around looking vainly for food). It's a go-to place for me and also good for meeting people after work. Beer menu is extensive... More

Centrally located in the Wellington city, the pub style cafe offers great Mussel dishes. The serving is so so generous-- we ordered 2 Steaming mussels pots and 2 Grill mussels dishes between 5 of us and that is plenty. We couldn't even finish them. The steaming dishes are the best, juicy and flavoured. We will definitely come back when we... More
