I had breakfast here recently while working in Wellington. The upstairs location is good to get away from the bustle of the street level and it's good to be able to look outside. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is good. My poached...More

Monday lunch catch up. Perfect setting. Booking table wasn't necessary on this occasion but usually is for this popular breakfast & lunch space. The soup of the day was delicious- roast vegetables with smoked fish. Tasted much better than it sounds! My companion requested the...More

After two years in Wellington we finally visited Ti Kouka cafe and now I'm disappointed we left it so long. Great location in the middle of the city and situated upstairs with a view of the hustle below. Fantastic friendly service, great coffee and the...More

Wellingtons best kept secret cafe. Hidden in plain sight on Willis Street, but upstairs. Great location, can always find a table, superb service from friendly staff. Menu has all the breakfast classics and offers seasonal items as their focus is on local, organic & sustainable...More

Interesting choices on the menu with a number of specials also. I had a pork burger and it was really tasty. Succulent with lots of interesting flavours. Excellent attentive service. Time to be served worked well for a relaxing but quick lunch. They make great...More

Ti Kouka is one of those hidden cafes known only by locals. Climb the stairs to be greeted by the friendly staff and a range of eclectic but delicious food and juices. The chicken burger was amazing.

Food is ordinary and mine was tasteless. Barely any filling in the haloumi beetroot burger, I left half of it. Portions very small for the price. We came with a group and no one was happy with theirs either. Schnitzel was overcooked and dry. They...More

Over 70$ for two for a disappointing lunch. The one star is for the pleasant guy who served us. Far too expensive for what it is - has to be the most disappointing burger I have ever had. I met my partner here for lunch...More

Description
Ti Kouka cafe was started by brothers Jesse Simpson and Shepherd Elliott in November 2010. Jesse runs the front of house and makes the beautiful coffees and Shepherd runs the kitchen and makes the delicious food. We use local, sustainable and organic produce when ever possible. We use Flight's beautiful direct trade and organic coffee and Zorganic's milk and other dairy products. We also offer free range and organic eggs, chicken and juices. We believe that using the best ingredients gives our food and drinks an edge that you can taste. We also believe we have a responsibility to do what we can to make sure we can continue to have the standard of produce we enjoy now. We compost all our scraps, recycle everything we can and will continue to improve as we go. In November of 2013 we opened Leeds St Bakery to supply TK and many others around wellington with Beautiful organic artisan breads.
