Pick up a scone to go or dine in. The food and service is always fantastic at Pravda. A little noisy so not the place for a quiet chat.

Thank you for your kind review! It’s so lovely to receive positive feedback such as yours. Our cheese scones truly are crowd pleasers. Our Dom’s secret scone recipe often has people queuing out the door! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Pravda was recommended to us by some local friends and we were not disappointed! We went in last week for dinner. We started off in the bar for a pre-dinner drink. The maître d suggested a few cocktails and then came over with complementary snacks....More

Due to its reputation, my friend & I had high expectations of "Pravda". We were looking forward to hot soup, -which surely would be quick- on a very cold day. Coffees that arrived reasonably promptly were ok. Then we waited and waited.... finally, over 30...More

Birthday dinner ruined by minor errors then major blunder by maître d'. The waitress left without taking one order, then all three pappardelle were extremely undercooked. We're talking leather, not "chewy" or al dente! The rest of the meal was fine, as were the dishes...More

The service was amazing, the choice of wines we were encourage to choose were extremely good and the food was delicious. I felt elegant - sitting in tables that you see in France, among a lovely decor, eating pate, with historical building across the road....More

Description
Pravda translates to mean "The Truth". And nothing could be more honest about Wellington's coffee culture than this cafe, bar and bistro. Set in the heart of the city amongst the hustle and bustle of share traders, commuters and visitors to the Lambton shopping precinct, Pravda is located in an elegant building with towering vaulted ceilings and hanging chandeliers of crystal. The menu includes classic European dishes as you would expect of a busy modern bistro. Pravda is home to Wellington's Immigrant's Son Coffee brand. Pravda as the name implies offers the honest simplicity of bistro food, freshly roasted coffee, wines of the world and the welcome of an old friend.
