The wine tasting was great, but the standout at this cellar door was the lunch platter - oh my goodness it was heaven on a plate! You must must try.

We stopped here for lunch on our wine tour. We tasted 6 lovely wines from the extensive Three Brothers wine list and enjoyed a glass of delicious Riesling with our lunch. The platter was fantastic with seafood, meats, cheeses and unusual homemade chutneys and sauces. We sat in the courtyard and soaked up the sun and scenery. The staff were... More

We were told that Giesen was one of Marlborough's best. We fully agree. The wine was great (will be ordering), the service was excellent (Myriam was wonderful), and the landscaping/decor was extremely artful. This groundskeeper is the best! Don't miss Giesen.

We stopped at Giesen for wine tastings & lunch but found both to be lacking. Upon arrival we stood at the tastings area and given a tasting each with no information about the wine or the vineyard itself. No other tastings were offered. We requested a table for lunch and told it was full in the courtyard however we could... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us, we do take all feedback very seriously and we are appalled at your comments as, for us, customer service is paramount. It is very unusual for us to receive such poor feedback and we will be talking to all the staff to try and get to the bottom... More

We really enjoyed our trip to this winery. The wines were great and the downstairs museum was amazing. We will definitely return.

Just enjoyed a platter, desert and coffee. Fresh and ample selection on the platter. Decadent deserts and great coffee. Service the best I have experienced in a long time. Very friendly staff - can't wait to go back.

We shared the platter plus the mussels which were delicious ... the reisling went down well too. The waitress sorted out an alternative meal for a member of our group that couldn't eat seafood so a bonus there. We asked for more bread for our platter which didn't occur an extra cost. Will .definitely be back here

Our vintner was very knowledgeable and lovely to talk with. She was able to accommodate a tasting of entirely reds.and the tasting was free! They have a nice garden patio for lunch, but only had a meat platter, a cheese plate and mussels on the menu.

Thank emjunck

Marlborough has a special place in the hearts of the Giesen brothers. To celebrate this, and the wines they create, in late 2011, 30 years after their arrival in New Zealand, they opened a Cellar Door in the heart of the region's wineries. Situated in the midst of vineyards on Marlborough's golden mile this characterful building captures the Giesen Brothers spirit of hospitality, giving visitors a place to experience a taste of Giesen, and learn about their winemaking. Also as a special treat, visitors can taste some back vintages or trial wines thanks to the Enomatic wine dispensing system. In addition Guests can kick back and relax with a glass of Giesens wine and a platter of regional treats in the charming courtyard.
