My girlfriend and I had a meal here before going to a movie on a Tuesday evening. There was live entertainment. I was really looking forward to the pork belly as I had looked at the website menu earlier that day. Sadly we were informed there was no Pork belly available before I even had a chance to ask for it...... More

Have dined here on several occasions. Always good wholesome food at reasonable cost. A good selection of beers and live music is often available. Good for a meal or just to swap a few lies with the boys.

This pub is located in the Octagon and the decor is typical Irish with a modern twist. The food was standard but tasty and the wine and guinness - perfect!

In the heart of the Dunedin pub scene this is a great little Irish pub with a great atmosphere. Service is great with bar staff that are happy to have a chat to you if you're on your lonesome. Nice little fire area with comfortable seating; generally just a great place for an afterwork or weekend drink.

Nice little pub, it has Kilkenny on tap which is a bonus for me and pretty decent pub-type food. The staff is friendly and the wine list, although limited, good quality.

Fell across this place and really liked it. Friendly staff and you could have all kinds of snacks/sandwiches. Decent range of beers so it was job done for lunch. No pretensions, and the music was a bit loud, but the joint has plenty of character.

Popped in for a fellow co-workers farewell drinks after finishing a long and busy shift at work. Proceeded to wait for 10 minutes to be acknowledged on a what would seem a quiet night. There were 2 lads in front of me. After purchasing there 9 drinks and proceeding to carry them 2 by 2 back to there table 1... More

We went here for breakfast, it was very filling, in fact we didn't need lunch. The waitress was really good, she was fast and very nice. I had the bacon and eggs, 4 pieces of bacon 2 slices of toast and a lot of scrambled egg. Recommend The Craic, will go back next time in Dunedin

I had a Ploughmans lunch, which was large and very tasteful. My husband had beer battered fish and chips. Very tasty, he said. Chips were very crispy and fish was a large piece of blue cod. Beer and wine were both great. Open fire on windy day was welcome.
