We arrived in Dunedin quite late, both of us starving, and with a recommendation for this place from our bus driver we decided to give this a go. WORST IDEA EVER. We ordered the chicken with chilli, though the chicken was barely edible with the majority being just bones, and the chilli? We got dried out skins of chilli. Absolutely... More

I ordered deep fried spicy chicken for takeaway. When I went to eat my dinner, there was a container full of chili and NO chicken. It was like a treasure hunt to find the chicken. The "chicken" which was in there was only bones, and seemed like they were left overs from other people's meals. It was so disappointing and... More

We were a group of 8 for dinner and ordered a wide range of dishes such as green beans with garlic sauce, crispy chicken, fried noodles, etc . They were all very tasty and the portions were generous, bar one - the deep fried tofu with prawn and beef mince because we could hardly taste any prawn or meat in... More

The restaurant is close to the railway station with easy parking. We loved the Szechuan food at Kwang Chow, nice and spicy as it should be. A shame was that we could not get a beer with it, but they expect the license next month. So far our best Asian food experience in NZ! Thank you

We visited on the 20th of January 2016 for lunch. We came from Sydney where there are lots of Chinese restaurants so perhaps that is why in comparison this restaurant’s food felt basic to us. The restaurant is across the road from Dunedin Railway station. The female waitress was very unfriendly and rude, could not be bothered to even say... More

Food at this place is not the best in town but is quite pricey considering the portions given. There were only three tables when we were there but it took a long time for food to be served . Not worth a second visit since there are many other restaurants serving same type of food in town. Be prepared to... More

On our recent visit to Dunedin, we walked past this restaurant and decided to get takeaway. After a quick look at the picture menu on the outside window, we went inside the restaurant to place our order of egg plant with fish sauce and rice (price $22). The only or the best way to describe it was that it tasted... More

This restaurant serves possibly the best Chinese food in Dunedin. However, the service was disorganised and chaotic on the night we went there. It took an hour from taking our orders till the food appeared. Other tables which arrived later than us seemed to get their orders before us, and there was a table who arrived pre-us, who didn't get... More

A group of seven dined here last week. The interior looks dated and the young woman serving us have poor service, however the food was delicious. We ordered a selection of food from salt and pepper squid ( hot and simply delicious) to beautiful sizzling beef dishes, chow mien and tofu along with some Chinese beer. We had a great... More

Order the braised pork hock in star anise sauce - yummy! The quality of the food is excellent and you won't go home hungry. The wall decor is nice and is really Chinese! But the service has a lot to be desired. The waitresses are grumpy but we have been there many times and because I really like their food,... More
