Having chosen to have a meal at this restaurant - it was disappointing - nothing out of the ordinary. the meal was not well presented and the mixed tika platter was dry and uninspiring. The service was polite and efiiicient but the food lacked presentation and taste.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Invercargill with best services and food. All curries are the best in taste and I recommend to everyone to visit this amazing restaurant.

As vegetarians we tend to gravitate towards Indian food and our meal at the Bombay Palace in Invercargill ranks among the best. Well cooked with distinct flavours, very tasty breads. A calm and friendly atmosphere, well worth a visit.

Ate here when passing through Invercargill recently and had a nice meal, nothing outstanding but the food was tasty. Had the vegetable samosa, a vindaloo which we asked for hot, rather than "Indian hot" as we were scared that might really burn. The hot was nice, and we kind of wished we had tried the hotter version. Had another curry too... More

The food was unedible. What a waste of money. I've had good Indian in Invercargill but this wasn't the best at all. The dishes we got didn't look or taste like the usual dishes. For example the butter chicken, didn't look or taste anything like it, too much tomato or something. Butter Chicken should be creamy, not an acidic dish... More

Since moving away from Invercargill 6 years ago - I am yet to find an Onion Bhaji that can live up to the Bombay Palaces! Just yum!

Another TA recommendation that lived up to expectations. I'm not the biggest fan of Indian food and asked for my dish to be mild. The food that arrived was just great, good size portions of a very tasty curry and rice. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the lovely attentive service. One of the best value meals we had in... I try the odd curry here and there, but always keep coming back to Bombay Palace. It's consistently great food, takeaway or eating in. The restaurant is a little humble but it's the best Indian, and always friendly, fast service.

We haven’t been to the Bombay Restaurant since we shifted out of Invercargill. I’m pleased to say, if possible I believe that it has got even better. While living out of town my wife and I have craved a decent Indian meal and we certainly got that when we dined in with friends the other night. The service was friendly... More
