4 friends had a big feast, food was ok. We had Cloudy Bay white wine, it was good. Bill was NZD500. The guy who served us was good. However, they let you know when you are still there after 10pm. The rude waitress banged the empty table loudly deliberately! She threw the bill on the table, not looking at any... More

Dreadful. My fish batter was oily the chips were sodden our friends fish was glistening in oil and tummy troubles that night. Be warned - Give it a miss

Delightful Queenstown restaurant in the heart of town but with a nice local flair as opposed to a traditional tourist one. Food and service were excellent and we throughly enjoyed our dinner

We ate at this restaurant last time we were in Queenstown and had to go back as it is so good. We had two dinners here on this visit. Great variety. If you love seafood this is the place to eat.

This is a really excellent restaurant specialising in fish and sea food. The quality is high. The fish really fresh and full of flavour. The fish and chips I had was crispy, perfectly cooked local fish with nicely seasoned chips. It is owned by a chef with international experience who also knows his wines and how to make you feel... We tried other seafood restaurants in Queenstown, bit the Fishbone was our favorite. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a generous seafood platter for two which included raw oysters, marinated mussels, fried calamari, fried blue cod, salmon salad, ceviche, prawns and a half crayfish (which was streamed then grilled--delicious). The wine selection is also quite good and the... More

Loved the flavors but my seafood gumbo portion was small. The bowl it is served in looks deep but it is deceptively shallow. Beet salad was great; the tomatoes were excellent. Based on flavor I'd rate it higher

Ok so this is my second review for the fish bone but it deserves it.After a damp overnighter at Doubtful Sound and a breezy, chilly Queenstown only fish and chips would do and the bread crumbed blue cod and chips was one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. If I lived here I would be a... More

Decided to have an early dinner and popped in Fishbone Seafood Restaurant without a reservation. I was lucky to get a table probably because it was early, but already the tables were filling up. Ordered the Oysters and love the rich, creamy taste. The locally baked bread was so soft and goes well with the smoked butter. The Crayfish was... More

This was recommended to us by our hotel as the best fish restaurant in Queenstown and we are so glad we went! At first glance we weren't blown away by the menu, but went with two of the fish dishes - lemon sole and orange roughy. We absolutely loved every bite! Highly recommend if you want delicious seafood! My only... More
