The pies are reasonably priced at $6.50 and they have a varied selection of sweet and savoury. The pies are nice and favourite combinations traditional.

Great selection of home made pies and sweets. Can't go wrong with the creamy chicken :) was nice to sit at the window watching the little birds pick up crumbs from other travellers!

This place is great. Great food and great service. I had the pork belly and it was great. The restaurant from outside doesn't look very attractive but it's always busy and the food very good!

Overall average. Lots of filing but taste very plain. $6.50 for a pie I feel is a little extreme. Fairlie bake house wins in my view.

The chunky steak pies were good but pretty much tasteless. It was weird, as obviously a lot of time had been spent preparing the pastry and filling. The coffee was good. This place only accepts cash if you don't have a NZ eftpos card - which I suspect is about 70% of their customers.

A grabbed a pie to bring for lunch at Luxmore Hut. The pie was still warm when we arrived and was very flavorful. Pies are pre-made and service is fast.

My Partner and I dropped in for a Visit for Breakfast on our way to Milford Sound and Being Pescatarian I ordered the Seafood Pie and my Partner got the Chicken and Bacon Pie. The Pies were sooo delicious we headed back in for Lunch Best Vegetarian Pie I've had. Would highly recommend a visit.

We particularly went out of our way to get pies from here...they are quite good but wouldn't go out of your way for them. Meat in mine was a little under cooked. Quite expensive and don't take o/s credit card. Skip the coffee here -burnt our tongues.

I told my small group about Miles Better Pies and how good their $6.50 Pasties were. Sadly upon asking for some Pasties, I was told, "Sorry we don't make them any more as they take too long to make, is there anything else you would like". I said no thanks and walked out. Sorry Miles Better Pies, you have lost... More

Had read about this place and decided we would try them for a quick lunch. The line seemed to stay long for some time as buses pulled in and many of these people grabbed something from here. Neither of us or the people who shared our outside bench table thought the pies were anything special. Our pies were not even... More
