Party of 16….service good…pre ordered and all the different dishes were served quickly. Food tasty and enjoyable…portions generous. Staff attentive.

Disappointed by rudeness! So I organised a surprise get together for a friend and I travelled from out of town to Quorn as this was her local and invited several guests who also travelled. Upon arrival the restaurant had us down for the wrong number...of guests. The restaurant was empty only one other table and they were not very accommodating. In fact they were outright rude. They finally established that they didn’t have any other bookings and could add another table for two onto our small 6 table and we tried to then move on. When the chap came over to take the order he was being really grumpy and disinterested when I mentioned we had a few birthday people with us tonight. It really doesn’t take much to be helpful and appreciative and we should have had better service. Yes the food all came out on time and the order was correct but some smiles please and thank you’d would have made the experience a lot better. I have visited this restaurant before and the staff were always lovely. Where have all the smiles gone? They’ll scare people away if they carry on with this attitude.More

We visited as a table of seven. The only small downside was that the service seemed a tad slow, but otherwise it was excellent. Nice crisp poppadoms, really tasty sizzling starters and a really nicely cooked Lamb Tikka Tawa for me. Chappatis were warm, not...soggy nor overly floury. No complaints on the food at all and it was all polished off with gusto. This is a bring your own alcohol restaurant but (not sure of the strict legality of this) you can buy a pint of glass of wine in the pub next door, then walk in with it. The staff even return the glasses to the pub for you! Really very good.More

Absolutely delightful evening. Front of house staff were lovely and got us seated immediately. Service was quick and we got free complementary starters (i think it was similar to an onion bhaji but with potato). The poppadam’s were lovely as well as the sauces. I...ordered Paneer and King prawns which was absolutely delicious, it came with pilau rice. I can’t remember what the rest of my family ordered but it all looked amaizng and smelt amazing. I had some plain naan bread and I think it was the best I have ever had. So light and fluffy but really delicious. I am very grateful for my delicious food and service.More

We ordered 3 Chicken Tawa and jug of water. When it arrived (a runny yellow broth with pieces of chicken floating in it) it resembled baby sick in a Balti dish. (Where’s the skillet we thought). When I enquired if they had misheard our order...we were assured they had not (yellow Tawa is a first for me). Well we weren’t disappointed as it tasted exactly as it looked - Disgusting. We complained and were told that it was the chef’s interpretation - Some interpretation!! The owner (a surly S.O.B.) gave us £10 off the bill which went nowhere in clensing our palates of the foulness. Your probably wondering what happened to the water. Well that turned up as we were leaving…. If you’re in the market for probably one of the worst Indian meals in Leicestershire then head for Tandoori Empire in Quorn - You’ll hate it! 🤮More

Family birthday meal. Table of 6. We were sat in the back room next to a table for 24 which was not cleared for over 90mim, leaving us to look at leftover food, crockery and cutlery. We also had the pleasure of a table of...10+ whose language consisted of c*** and f*** for the majority of the time. The food was average and the service poor. When we politely bought this to the “managers” attention (in particular the poor service, the uncleared table etc.) he was more offended then we were and defensively blamed this on a lack of staff, despite this not being our problem. He asked what we wanted and when we replied nothing, he promptly left. Poor in general - avoid.More

Despite me being a regular orderer one member of staff continuesly gets my address wrong and sometimes attempts delivery to the neighbours. Today after 10 minutes of going back and forth trying to understand the address and postcode nearly the whole way through the phonetic...alphabet 3 times over I was then brushed off and asked what I wanted to eat. Not confident my food would come i explained I physically couldn’t make myself any clearer and asked if there was another member of staff… after another 5 minutes of being told no repeatedly nobody else is in I then heard another member of staff in the background, it was at this point I knew he was taking the piss out of me. I’m not sure if I was actually passed to this person or not as it was again a continuous almost deliberate battle of miscommunication…‘I say 9 he say 4’. By this point they then said it’s min £15 to order which I had never had this charge before. When explaining I ordered the exact same order regularly and have never had this problem I was again disregarded and told this is the order minimum now and wasn’t in place last week. When deciding to change my order slightly the price he had just given me was now a completely different price than a couple of minutes ago we then started to dispute this at which point he actually mid conversation said bye and hung up the phone on me ! Considering this is somewhere I regularly ordered from I have had trouble with my address and the staff before but to alter prices service and min order prices so blatantly shows no respect for the local custom and was really disappointing to be treated like that by somewhere I regularly order from. Piss takers. Also if you are planning from ordering here. It’s cheaper prices (if they’ve not made them up that day) if you call then ordering on just eat - you can usually save yourself some money if they manage to get your address right.More

Absolute shambles… ordered online to only receive the attached photo 45 minutes later with a hungry family. We’ve used this place for years but never again, totally unacceptable.

Staying at a friends house we went for a takeaway which is our normal Friday night. I must admit the food was very tasty and good portion sizes. Shiah kebabs very well seasoned. We ordered ahead of a couple of drinks in The Oak. Returned...at the time we had asked for. Our food was ready and served with a smile. Not sure about other bad reviews but we couldn’t fault the service or the food quality.More

Can’t believe I reviewed this place as fantastic in 2017. So hard to believe that one week you get an amazing take away and 3 weeks later you get the worst take away you’ve ever had. Sad to say consistency is not in the chef’s...vocabulary, vile vile take away tonight, they don’t care and won’t listen to any argument that says they are awful. We will not be back 🤢🤮More

Well, where do I even begin. Myself and my family went to the local curry house and was very disappointed. One of us ordered a chicken passanda and it had zero taste at all, no flavour and the chicken was like it was the last...of the evening and was nasty. I called the waiter over and he took the food back but i felt like he didn’t wanna do that even. Half of the old curry was already on my plate over the chips and rice which I had to keep. The rest of the family was eating their dinner and meanwhile my dinner was getting very cold. The waiter reappeared with a smaller pot of curry back to me and said we have swapped it out, it had a little flavour but nothing like a curry should have. I tried to top up the old curry with the new curry on my plate to get rid of the bland old curry taste but it never went so was very disappointed as I was having to feel forced to eat this bland dinner as the waiters didn’t want to acknowledge us again. When the bill came we advised the staff we didn’t feel like we should pay for the curry due to the issues, the waiters were angry rude and just kept shrugging our feelings aside and gave us zero customer service. We escalated this and said we don’t mind paying for everything but the curry, the so called chef come over to us and got very abrupt with us saying he cooked the food and that I was wrong and he didn’t want us back in the restaurant and got a little aggressive. We were appalled about the behaviour and went to the desk to speak to them further as we do not appreciate being spoken to or talker to in that way. The chef and all the waiters were laughing and being rude about us and smirking which was very disrespectful. We were lucky at this point we still wanted to settle the remaining bill and at this point they finally took the poor curry off the bill but decided to bar us from the curry house. I am astonished at this behaviour that they feel is acceptable. I am glad we will not be retuning as this was not the service we should pay for. Good luck to anyone else going there in the future.More
