A Darby st favourite for breakfast. I love the Vego hangover cure! It's a great mix. The staff are always lovely and the coffee is great too

Came to Frankies last Sunday the 2nd of April for brunch with some friends and it was terrible to say the least. There was a long (hour wait on food) which was understandable but the young girl on the floor provided terrible customer service. She was very unfriendly and when giving us our frappes accidentally spilt it on my arm... More

Can't comment on the food- didn't make it that far. After chasing up a waitress finally put in an order. Waited 45 minutes, was told food on the way but another 15 minutes was enough so gave up and left. Plenty of staff standing around doing nothing when they could have been sweeping the pigeon feathers and rubbish. When you've... More

I have been to Frankies a few times in the past, always decent coffee and good meals. I had not eaten here for over 18 months at least, so thought we would pop in for a quick lunch today. I ordered a salad, and my partner a burger. We waited almost an hour for our food - it did not... More

We had a really nice, unexpected breakfast here having popped in for coffee. Generally speaking the breakfast was amazing - really nicely flavoured - and good quality ingredients. Similarly for another review I've done in Newcastle, the only reason this loses a star is because of the poached eggs being over-done. This is always such a pity. Some really nice... More

I had the Vegie hangover cure( I wasn't hungover). It is very big and I loved the side of fresh lemon. Coffee is smooth and strong.

OK, lets start from the beginning. First up the waitress had zero personality and we couldn't understand her mumbling. In fact all the staff were way below par. We had to go get our own menus. The coffee was bitter and only luke warm. We had to ask for water. The menu was weird so we went for the Big... More

I went here for lunch. The food is so great and the while theme of the cafe is fun! There are cool little random things placed around the tables that are funny conversation starters. For example, we had an Ask the 8-Ball Toy near us which was very entertaining among other things like cards and books. Very interesting place.

This is a daytime cafe in Newcastle that has been operating maybe a year or so. Great service, vintage decore, multi-cultural food choices, yummy cakes and fabulous Campos coffee. Very popular with Gen Y's
