I had tried Phat Monk about a year ago and was overly impressed, but it is nearby so thought I would give it another go, and was less than impressed. The menu is pretty limited compared to most Thai restaurants so you would expect that they would do these choices well. Prices are pretty much in line with other Asian... More

Yes its really good, but i was surprised at the prices. Maybe rents are high. Wont go back, only as you can get great thai elsewhere at a better price. If they were same price as competing resturants, hands down would return here, but not worth the significant increase.

Other than curry puffs and money bags, food very disappointing and somewhat overpriced. Into the stir fires the remark was "This not like Thai food!"--soy sauce and heaps of Bok Choy- none ot the usual Thai flavours. Prawn dish cooked with the prawn heads was not worth the $26. Rice charged at $3 a person. $12 for boiled rice for... More

First, my wife have eaten literally hundreds of Thai meals, all over Australia and around the world, including Thailand. We haven't eaten here at our local Thai for a few years, but thought we would try it again with friends. Very disappointing!!! The menu is very limited. The curry puff and money bag entrees were minuscule. The 5 prawns in... More

Overpriced and overly sweet, and made with very little love. Dishes prepared with what was obviously pre-cooked meat and with only a little green in the way of vegetables. I was especially confused and disappointed by the pad see ew - rather than a dark and slightly sweet soy with pockets of egg and crunchy Chinese broccoli, this was essentially... More

I have to admit when I get takeaway I am often underwhelmed but every time I eat there the food is really really good. Tastes super fresh and aromatic. Service is always good. Price is ok. Decor, a little sad.

As locals, we regularly visit Phat Monk for both eat-in and takeaway. The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. Our favourites are the spring rolls, satay skewers, pad see yiu, chilli jam stir fry, massaman curry (with no pineapple thankfully!) and the larb. We have a lot of Thai food and it's fantastic to find a great local Thai... More

We took a large family group to this restaurant, some of whom had never tasted Thai food. We chose a selection of dishes so that people could sample widely, plus some rice. The food was great and everyone loved it. This restaurant is BYO. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back!

Great little restaurant. As good a Thai I've had. The dishes we ordered were fresh and tasty. They included the Duck Red Curry, the Faht Monk Prawns and the Beef Massamum. Portions are generous. Service is good and also BYO. Would return without a doubt.
