What kind of 'fish and chip' establishment closes at 7pm on a late night shopping Thursday ? Two weeks later I turn up at 5pm and it was 'Closed for cleaning'. These people either have no idea how to run a business or are just too lazy. It's not cheap either.

I took my family to Newcastle for the day and being from the country we wanted fresh fish and chips... so googled best places in Newcastle and up popped Jeremiah Jones's, not a happy customer at all, only offered battered Hoki... talk about spending a small fortune 2 adults & 2 children nearly $60 later... terrible service and terribly cooked,... My family was wanting takeway during the holiday period and fish & chips were wanted. We sought a family pack the quality was the issue and we asked to avoid some fish. When we arrived home with the package it included this fish only and chips which were soggy and greasy. I could never recommend this location again!!

We wanted fish and chips and asked for what fish were available . I asked for whiting we got hake. the chips were greasy and the whole expensive takeaway a disaster. Staff need greater skills and a specialist fish & chip spot needs more attention to customers needs. The worst meal we had in Newcastle during the week stay of... More

Poorly cooked and greasy. The scallops were not cooked properly and the scallops and chips were extremely greasy. We were hungry and ate some of it. We couldn't finish and were all sick that night (few hours later). The time to cook was horrific. Can't see why you need an hour to cook one lot of chips and 10 scallops... More

I have had people over on several occasions with the plan to buy Jeremiahs and eat on balcony only to find it is shut way before 7 pm time and we end up getting pizza... tonight i almost ran home trying to get there in... Popped in here to see what it was everyone was raving about! I mean seriously, it's only another fish and chip shop! Well hell no!!!! It's really, really NOT!!!! The chips are hot, fresh, crisp and crunchy and the fish was coated in a light, delicate batter that was crispy and thin and allowed the fish and its flavour to... More

We visited Jeremiah Jones for some fish and chips on Father's Day 2016. As it was my first Father's Day, it was a special event so I picked JJ because it was marketed as being a "boutique" establishment and I wanted something special and a little bit fancy. JJ has prices that are higher than your average corner shop takeaway... More

Quite pricey. 2 fish 2 potato scallops and a can of Coke $25. The size of the portion made up for the price, but it was tasteless I asked for salt and the salt was tasteless to, there was free vinegar and that was very very mild as well, left disappointed
