The Wheel is a lovely pub that we used to visit regularly. Had not been since new management took over and what a disappointment. Booked for Sunday lunch and arrived with no welcome and were just pointed over to where our table was. After a...More

Visited Yesterday Lunch, was greeted by a friendly young gentleman and offered Lobster Thermidor as a special! It was fantastic and I will definitely be visiting again- great food and great service, alongside a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely traditional country pub with excellent food, especially steaks. Service could not be faulted. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere with a lovely open fire. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended.

After having previously had a bad experience with the food at The Wheel we decided to give it another go yesterday, never again! The service was appalling & the food even worse, I cannot rate the experience low enough, terrible is a compliment!

Under new management by the Marsden family this pub is fully thriving. The food tasted like it had been made just for us! Sunday lunch; tasty belly pork, all the trimming with homemade apple sauce. Fab choice of ale. Homemade apple crumble and custard to...More
