My husband and I were visiting Glenelg and wanted to watch the sunset while maybe enjoying a nice coffee and cake. Browsing through the marina, Esca looked the most romantic and tranquil. We knew they didn't serve in the main dining area till 6pm but thought we would ask if we could have coffee and cake at that end of... More

Visited this restaurant with my wife as it is in the Entertainment book. Meal was nice, service from the waiter was good. Had the Seafood Share Plate for 2 people, twice the price of all the other meals. When we came to pay the manager refused the card saying it was a single meal despite it being advertised for 2... Hello Peter. Appreciate you taking my call just now to chat about your recent experience with us. Glad you were able to make use of an entertainment card discount for your table as advertised - one main meal discounted 100%, and this was happily applied to your account. As discussed, there was definitely a miscommunication between floor staff and management... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed a "chefs selection" dinner at Esca! It was fantastic! Can I start by saying the service was well above 5 star and a total 10/10. Our waiter was Blake and he was excellent and really knew his stuff! He had a great knowledge around the imported beers we were keen on trying and helped... More

Beautiful place, good service but not so great chefs. Ordered black mussels apparently passed down by owner's grandmother but too salty. Average food not the wow experience I had expected but that could be just me with high expectations.

Of all the restaurants that were open on Marina Pier this was the only one with people so we took that as a good sign. Despite no reservation we were seated quickly. Service was very nice. They sent a sommelier to our table to andwer a wine question. Our server was delightful and helpful. I had the small plates of... More

We booked a table for 4 on a Saturday night. The four of us each agreed to order the Chef's Selection. Wow ! 4 courses all of which were amazing. The smoked duck breast started and we thought well, they won't be able to beat that. Well, they did. The cockles (vongole) were amazing and the pork belly superb. Desert... More

We went to Esca four times in our 7 day stay at Glenelg for dinner only. The first three nights we had this very nice waiter that was so attentive he remembered everything we liked and he was amazing running around looking after things I don't know his name but Esca make sure you don't lose him! On our fourth... More

Hard not to like this place. Food was spectacular with particular mention of the Coffin Bay oysters which were done two ways 🌓 natural and the other kilpatrick. Grazed on a Number of entrees with salt and pepper calamari, pork belly then closed out with an scrumptious prawn linguine. Views over the bay were coupled with a very warm and... More

I went there for a family lunch. I had the porterhouse, asked for medium rare and received well done. All I could taste was burnt meat... and when paying for the meals the manager was annoyed that I used the entertainment card and tossed the card back at me after payment. Very Rude. I will not be back.

Thank Stephanie R
