Wonderful meat beautifully cooked, friendly and effective service in a heritage setting. We had a lovely dinner and will dine here again.

For a meat lover this was really great. It's been a few years since last time here, but the standard of food and wine was still absolutely fantastic. New York cut - rare. Very tasty and soft. Pink evenly throughout. Just great!

Well, looking at past reviews, I must be one of the odd ones out when it comes to rating this restaurant highly. My wife (who had visited the restaurant on previous work related occasions) raved about the place so we booked up on our visit to Launceston. I like to feel 'comfortable' in a restaurant. On arrival we pointed to... More

This is not s steak house! This is fine dining specialising in red meat. Brilliant waiters know their stuff. Will match wine for you. Not cheap, will pay $40 plus for mains. Popular on weekends. Small restaurant so bookings recommended. Central city location

Came in with high hopes, came out with high smiles. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Steak and accompanying sauces were mouth watering and just melts in your mouth. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating and also presented his own suggestions. Lighting of the establishment could be brighter, as we had to really squint to look at the menus... More

Steak was perfectly cooked. They picked only local beef in Australia. If you are a meat-lover, not suggest sharing your plate as the portion is just suitable for one person.

We had pan-fry scallop as entree to share and steak for each of us and we absolutely loved it! The scallop was done perfectly and the steaks were amazing! Nice atmosphere with attentive staff. What a great dining experience!

Service was great, meal was a disappointment. Way overpriced for what you got. Some of our meals were inedible, wont be going back. Plenty of other restaurants in Launceston with a lot better experience.

Used tripadvisor to find the top restaurant in Launceston and we weren't disappointed. Fabulous service, the sommelier was very knowledgeable and not snobby. The food was outstanding, we shared one steak 650g between 3 and there was plenty for everyone. One of our party was vegetarian and she was also happy with her offerings. Would happily go back.

Overall good but wines by the glass seemed expensive compared with even Sydney prices where we have purchased same labels for less ! Steaks good though a few lightly dressed endive or unique salad leaf would make big difference for perception ! Also $4.50 for tiny amount of sauce ? It just comes across a little over priced for the... More
