Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a gluten free restaurant and you can't tell the difference between the food served here and at a normal restaurant. Bonus was the service - above and beyond - friendly and caring. The food was terrific - large servings and well presented. My...wife had the lamb kofta and I had the pulled pork burger. Both excellent. The wine list was good and the suggestions from the server were "spot on". The real gem from here was the "Turkish Delight Hot Chocolate" - could be addictive - smooth, creamy and so chocolatey.More

I'd you're looking for gluten free food and want to be treated like a human, this is the perfect spot. There is a surcharge for stupid gluten questions, because the place is 100%GF. Read the entire menu: there are several pearls of humour that had...our whole table laughing. AND: the GF bread tastes like real, soft, crusty bread! I know!More

As my wife is GF we looked around on TripAdvisor for suitable restaurants for breakfast. Samuel Pepys Cafe came up as somewhere we should try. Well, it was fabulous. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was well cooked and presented - a delight....So much so, we went back for our second breakfast before leaving Launceston. As we had indulged the night before, we needed a light breakfast and their home-made Fruit Toast and excellent coffee hit the button! Cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. If we come back to Launceston, we will be back! Many congratulations, Chaps. Great Job!More

Really nice staff and good coffee/food service. Accommodated our group of 12 as walk-ins. I have nothing but nice things to say and would happily return at a later date. :)

I was looking for a cafe that served a cooked breakfast with vegetarian and vegan options. Trip Advisor voted this cafe as No.1 in Launceston. I had a huge cooked vegan breakfast (the small size). The large size must be for truck drivers. Every meal...is cooked fresh. I had a Turkish Delight hot chocolate. Very tasty. Jason served me. He was entertaining and kind. I highly recommend this cafe and will come back again, next time I'm in Launceston.More

This 100% gluten free cafe became one of my favourite cafes to visit to whilst staying in Launceston. I was only there for a week, I went around 4 times + a few takeaway orders. The vibes immaculate, super cosy and the staff. Incredible and...the owners, some of kindest, bubbly and welcoming people I’ve ever come in to contact with. To see items that are not normally available to see a coeliac, was on the goosebump level. I was in awe every time I visited. Immensely delicious food. Next time I visit Australia I would come to Tasmania just to visit this cafe🤌🏼🥰More

The first thing you notice is the quirky decor - an eclectic mix of everything odd! In contrast there is nothing odd about the food or service - the menu has a good selection of dishes and the front of house staff are excellent. Service...was timely and all our dishes were tastyMore

Delicious, flavourful food and the friendliest service in town! We had the waffles (super fluffy with generous toppings), and the brekky roll (the beetroot relish is to die for!). The house-made hash browns are a must-try.
