Once upon a time everyone had a cafeteria , Coles, Myer, Fitzgeralds . This is one left over , somewhere to stop and rest and think about what other shopping needs to be done . Food is ok, better than a lot of places. Even with the half price specials it can work out a bit expensive with extras such... More

This place was always a favourite when shopping in Launceston. Today however made me realize I don't ever want to be ripped off like this again. My cup of tea (asked for a t-bag on the side as I like it weak) was one of those cheap and nasty t-bags with no string. For that and a cup of tea... More

We found Fitzies by chance, and went back 3 times, it is not high dining, just good honest food, with good honest service, and good value!

After 2.00pm the $6.95 sandwiches almost always are reduced to half price, and sometimes a little less. Yesterday I paid $3.00 for a pork sandwich that was made with fresh ingredients and old school love. It represented incredible value for money. I now make a habit of having a late lunch just to grab the best bargain in town.

This canteen style cafe is absolutely fabulous and quite unbelievable in this day and age. The premises takes you back to the 'good old days' with old fashion service from lovely friendly staff with fresh products and clean premises. A place to relax and enjoy a trip down memory lane at an affordable cost. Really recommend a visit either for... More

The restaurant is clean, the food is cheap and the service was 100%. The premises is in the heart of the city. They have a wide range of food and are open all day. This is a good place to stop and rest while shopping. It is not up market just good wholesome food.

Whilst some meals can be a little expensive they do have daily specials and there is quite a good variety. Even small children are catered for.

First came to Fitzies 13 years ago and it was reasonable. Has definitely gone down hill. We had 3 meals: lasagne, croquettes and roast beef and two lattes and a lemonade... $52. Not cheap for a cafeteria lunch when two meals were very ordinary. Even if we had have known about the half price mains after 2pm (ordering at 130),... More

The food here is generally cheap and freshly cooked. However the chips are often undercooked and the salad has more dressing than lettuce. They have a wide range of food including roast meals, scallops, sandwiches and deserts. The service if quick and friendly. The decor of the shop has not changed in since the 80's and gives the place an... More
