I liked this place very much. The food was really good, service was excellent and the place has a very good atmosphere. We had a wonderful time there

We had dinner there tonight, we had the stuffed jalapeños for entree they were full of flavour, crunchy and served with just the right amount of sour cream, they were delicious! The salmon taco for main was also very nice but was a small serving. Whilst the food was delicious I was disappointed with the service there was only one... More

I think if we hadn't just wandered in off the street and read trip advisor reviews we wouldn't haven't have gone in. What we got was what most customers have already reviewed, average. So it's ok but nothing speacial but not terrible. Clearly surviving on passing tourist trade and not too bothered about repeat business it's not the end of... More

Was very quiet on a Saturday night. For us we felt the food really lacked flavour especially for Mexican. Easy to add heat with chilli save but lacked spices. Service was fine also lacked ambiance really.

The food was lukewarm and we were the only people in the restaurant. The food was also not traditional Mexican but an Australian version of it. The staff were not very attentive or apologetic when we raised this (nicely) with them.

Decor was great - very authentic and sparked lots of debate at the table about Dia de los Muertos. Loved the cavalero! Food was authentic and well prepared. Kids were not impressed though 😂 They can turn the lights down - was a bit like eating under flood lights. And the music was hideous - definitely not Mexican.

We were so disappointed by the food at El Rio, we hardly ate anything. The tacos were bland and the flavours just didn't taste right. I took one bite of the fish taco and couldn't eat anymore, it just tasted off. A lot of looked as if it was leftovers - it was really lacking the vibrant and rich Mexican... More

We got takeaway and was very yummy. Only thing I'd say was the Nachos could have been packed separatly cos by the time we got them home they were soggy. But delish flavours and good variety.
