Agree with previous reviewers. Stopped by for a 60 NZD small crayfish which was cooked okay. There was plenty more expensive than that available. An extra 8 NZD for tiny amount of garlic butter that my husband could not even taste. He has had much...More

We stopped here in the rain on the way from Marlborough to Christchurch. We'd heard it was quite famous so decided to try the crayfish. I'm no connoisseur but it seemed a bit over-rated. $62 for a very small crayfish seemed a little steep in...More

You can tell from the photos that this place is, obviously, adorable/beautiful/cute/cool. However, we chose the smallest crayfish they had, and it was $65 NZD with garlic butter. That's around $45 USD for just the lobster with garlic and butter on it- no drink- no...More

Decided to stop for crayfish, warm with garlic butter. Was caught yesterday fresh and juicy. Got chips for the kids too. Was pricey but worth it. Got to pick your cray and price ranges from about $64 to $80

A New Zealand crayfish looks like an oddly shaped lobster with small claws. At Nin's Bin you choose your crayfish by the price written on the shell. It is brought to you at your place at a picnic table by the side of the road...More

Wonderful location right on the beach. Lobsters have numbers on their tails so pick a size to suit. Eat cold or with garlic butter - this place is an NZ must do.

Just a most amazing place to stop and chew on a local crayfish. The wild sea, snow capped mountains behind and marauding seals make this a surreal spots for a crayfish feast. Not your average gourmet lunch or garlic sauce, but not so pricey either....More

Nin's bin is pretty much a must do when in Kaikoura. The setting is perfect overlooking the ocean. Personally I do think you can get cheaper better tasting cray elsewhere but this was good. The lady that was serving us was rude and wasn't wearing...More

Nins Bin was first estabilished in November 1977 as a roadside caravan selling fresh local crayfish. Still to this day it offers just that, right next to the beach for an ulitmate New Zealand experience.Only a 20minute drive north of the Kaikoura Township, it is a perfect stop off point to either dine in or take a crayfish away for your enjoyment later on!
