Stopped here for lunch on the way home. Had fresh blue cod with salad and an iced coffee, food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and the view was stunning. Would definitely go back again.

The cafe is clean & tidy - we arrived at 12.45pm wanting a quick lunch not a cooked meal - very little choice - said sandwiches could be made on request but no display of the choice of fillings - I had a ready made egg sandwich - quite salty & my companion had a sausage roll - the coffee... More

Newly refurbished this season, this cafe (which serves both standard fare and New Zealand specialities such as mutton bird and Paua patties) has a 100 per cent window frontage which allows a panoramic view of this fabulous stretch of coast. We stopped for tea (served in pots New Zeland style) and had an informative conversation with the owner and his... More

We had lunch here. The waitress was very friendly. The seafood chowder was first class served with garlic bread. Excellent coffee. All the staff were anxious to please. Seated at a window table we had an amazing vista of the foreshore and sea. Calm at first a southerly front came through and churned up the sea in seconds. Really recommend... More

We called in to purchase something for an early lunch and decided on the whitebait fritter sandwich, which was made while we waited and it was absolutely beautiful. We sat beside the sea across the road and watched the dolphins playing nearby, couldn't have been better!

Being the first cafe I visited in Kaikoura, I was impressed with the views of the Kaikoura coast from the cafe. The food was reasonably priced and excellent as was the service.

On making the drive from Christchurch to Blenheim we stopped here for lunch. The food was cooked to order and they made good coffee. If you're lucky you may even see some dolphins in the sea from the window.

Great takeout meal, fish and chips and salad, good value for money, plenty of food, well presented. Afternoon tea was good as well, I really liked my Americans, and the savoury scone was light and tasty.
