Great pit stop for fish and chips. Rumored to be the best in town. Certainly busy when I popped in which is always a good sign for a chip shop on a Wednesday night.

We have lived in Hervey Bay for 8 years now. We go to Maddigans once a month on average. We have travelled alot. The fish and chips, here, have been consistantly WAY above average everytime. I can only think of one place in the world where I enjoyed fish and chips more than here. ( Bob Chinn's in Wheeling, IL.... More

Just by chance walked into this place and with so many specials we found it very hard to decide. Settled on grilled dory with chips and salad. Honestly I wasn't expecting much but was absolutely stoked when we received our order. Beautiful large grilled fillet of dory - perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Big portion of crispy chips nicely salted... More

Been here before and made a point of going for fish and chips while we were in Hervey Bay. Not a patch on the last time we were here. Fish was greasy, chips were soft and mushy, staff were friendly.

Best fish and chips in Hervey bay!, A serve of Coral Trout and cups with a 'hand' od Calmari, is perfect for 2!!!!. Across the road from the park and beach!, so somewhere to walk it off before going home, our guests are always surprised and delighted

The cod was great but the snapper and chips were very greasy. The staff weren't overly polite. There was lots of variety and you could also buy fresh fish. They didn't have knives and forks available.

In Hervey Bay on a short break, we headed out for fish'n'chips and for somewhere nice and quiet to sit outside and one that looked as though the locals liked to eat there! Almost drove past heading for Piara to find somewhere and this place definitely stood out as the FAV for the locals and in our minds...if you want... More

The fish & chips were so good here we ate it again for dinner as well as lunch. The fish is cooked perfectly and the chips are very yummy and fresh. Make sure you get the freshest seafood in Hervey Bay by eating here.

The fish is incomparable in town. No one else comes close. The chips are just okay but it doesn't really matter when the fish is so good. Serves are huge - for those with a normal appetite one between two is enough. Be prepared for a wait. It's worth it.
